Chapter 210: Movie Set and Maybe More

From his hotel room late that night, he called Anna to tell her about his day.

“I can’t believe the way it’s all comin’ together.”

“The town looks fantastic,” Anna told him, referring to the handful of photos he’d sent, including the view from the hillside.

“I’m beyond thrilled,” he agreed. “It turned out better than I’d even dared tae hope.”

“I wish I could see it in person,” she said wistfully.

“So do I, love. We’ll plan on having ya down here while we’re shooting, for sure.”

“I don’t know,” she said shyly. “I don’t want to bother you when you’re working.”

“Ye could never be a bother.”

“I don’t know about that,” she answered with a yawn.

“I’d better let ye go, ye sound tired.”

“I am, a little. Some oversexed Scot kept me awake last night,” she giggled.

Angus had to laugh. “Och, now I know yer lyin’, it was th’ other way around.”

“I miss you,” Anna sighed softly.
