214. Facing The Destiny

The air is quite cold this afternoon. The wind was blowing quite hard. Charlos watched the water in the pool in his house move in the wind. A hand tapped Charlos's shoulder from behind.

"Charlos, are you ready?" his mother asked.

Charlos turned. Her mother was wearing an exquisite dark blue dress. The silver flowers adorn the bottom of the skirt. Her mother's hair looked elegant in a simple bun. Even so, her makeup was perfect.

"You're so beautiful," said Charlos with a smile.

His mother frowned, but her lips curved into a sweet smile. "Thank you." Her hand patted Charlos's arm affectionately.

Charlos came closer and hugged his mother tightly. His mother awkwardly patted Charlos on the back.

He hadn't hugged his mother in a long time. He felt sad because his mother had always been annoying. His mother had too much control over this and that, even managing his life partner. Charlos understands. His mother only wants the best for her only son.
