254. See Gladys

Gavin's eyes looked teary. "Charlos, I'm so scared."

Charlos furrowed his brows. He had never seen Gavin look this devastated.

"I'm afraid I'll have to lose someone I care about. I don't want it happen."

Suddenly, Gavin put his fist between his eyes and sobbed. Charlos didn't dare touch the man. He just shook his head in confusion.

"I do not understand."

Gavin lowered his hand. "Gladys has cancer, Charl! She's going to die soon!"

"What did you say? Cancer? But… how?"

Gavin's words really made him feel shocked and felt very guilty. He never thought that Gladys would experience such an unfortunate thing.

"It's all because you had the heart to leave her!" Gavin cried, wiping his tears. "Gladys is indeed at fault, but at least… I was hoping that you might be merciful to her."

Charlos turned his face away. "Gladys lied to me, Gavin. That child wasn't mine. Plus, I never loved Gladys."

Gavin sighed. "Yes I know."
