"Come out. I want to talk."

It was a full minute before the ghost decided to walk through the wall and came to stand in the middle of the room, right over her death spot. 

She didn't say anything for the longest of whiles and Xiajun had started to worry that Zhaohui would return, so he decided to initiate conversation.

"Your name is," Xiajun remembered from the file he had read, "Miss Zeng Suyin?"

The ghost nodded and stared wide-eyed at Xiajun. "Y-you can see me?"

Her voice was a hoarse whisper, one that suited the dead.
Xiajun tried to hide the shiver that went down his spine.

"I can. In fact, I may be the only one to do so. My confrere will be back any moment now, so we must get this done with. There are some questions I'd like to ask you," Xiajun said as he pulled a pad and a pen out of his pant pocket. Miss Suyin remained silent.

"First of all," he said as he glanced over the ghost of the woman once, "who killed you?"

GHOST DETECTIVE: Li Xiajun

Leo's body was carried out by a local funeral home and a whole crowd gathered around his room to witness the whole scene. His room was taped off because of Xiajun's suggestion and the Hong Kong police had been called to assess the situation.

Lin was a mess. Her brother's death really had a toll on her mental health and she couldn't stop sobbing until she had to be taken to the hospital. Xiajun looked after her pitifully as she got seated in an ambulance originally meant for Leo, had there been any chance of saving him. Her most awaited day of the year, her grand birthday party had been ruined by the sudden discovery but Xiajun had other things on his mind.

Through the whole ordeal, Xiajun was sure of one thing and it was that he would have been a suspect for Leo's murder if he hadn't deflected the security camera down the hall before entering his room the other day. It had been a smart move on his part, but he hadn't known it would come in so handy only a day later.
