Confession?

"Fine," she whispered, her stare level with Officer Chang. "I see none of you are ready to admit I'm innocent, so I'll stop with the claims even though I'm right. I hope you all go to hell for doing me wrong." She spat on the floor, as if spitting out venom. "Fine. Let's establish that I did kill her. Fine, fine. I don't care anymore. But how do you expect me to give you a reason for killing Maria when-"

"But you DID kill her-"

"CAN YOU LET ME FINISH!?" she exclaimed, glaring openly at Officer Chang. He responded by pursing his lips, falling obediently silent. "So as I was saying, I can't possibly give you a rationale for an action I did not commit. BUT! Since you assured me I'll get a lighter sentence for coming out with a confession or whatever-" she sighed "-I'll conjure up a reason."
