When Our World Ends

Trying to keep his grip on his sword with the shaky hand from holding in the pain, Hinata slices through the body of the mage, dealing enough damage to have it dissipate into pixels right on the spot.

Mizuki blinks and it takes another beat to pass for her to realise what he'd done. She picks herself up and dashes forward, clutching onto Hinata's shoulders as he struggles to stay on his feet. "Why did you do that?! I'm already injured enough, it wouldn't have hurt that bad!" she insists. "What did you do with Sho?!"

Hinata dips his head and with a trembling voice, chokes out, "It's admirable how you think about Sho even at a time like this."

And when Mizuki pays closer attention, she notices that he's been bleeding almost as much as her, the lightning having left several gashes and reddened bruises against his previously unscathed skin.
