Just When

Just when everything had almost gone blank, completely filled with the blinding white light, Nitya felt a tiny hand touching her face, trying to make her awake and aware of the surroundings.

'She wanted to open her eyes, but it seemed impossible to even budge an eyelid; she wanted to scream Ji-hun's name and call for help, but she felt like insurmountable odds were piled against her.
