As soon as Aldrick touched Reneé's forehead, he started viewing the glimpses with such an intensity that left him gasping for control and struggling to draw breaths, being thoroughly overwhelmed. The flurry of glimpses drawing his attention towards themselves all at once were too much for him to handle. Having been born and raised as a Protector, his powers of seeing glimpses of the past, present and future had been seized just after the first ritual performed by him after his birth.
