The Final Door

"So this is the last?"

"Yes."

"What lies beyond?"

"My final warden."

"Are you ready?"

"No."

"Are you scared?"

"Yes."

"The King of all, Asmonon, scared of a warden."

"Vena was innocent but easily deluded. Garus was full of desire but lacked the courage to act. This final warden was the last of those that used their power against me."

"So he betrayed you?"

"No. It was I who betrayed him. I granted him power, more than the other two, but I never gave him what he wanted."

"I do not understand."

"You will learn of what I speak in a moment, let us open this final door."

Plucking the final strand of black from the body of Lyrea Koel struck the ground on which he stood, barren and black it shifted like sand as cities rose and fell, revealing themselves to the eye before burying their histories once more.

With hesitant steps Koel stepped through as he carried Lyrea within his arms, but a shadow of what she once was.

"Finally you arrive. Now uphold your word, My King."
