Chapter 33:

(Melissa POV)

'This day couldn't get any worse!' I screamed in my head as I was plummeting towards the water beneath me. 'Oh god, this is going to hurt a lot… Couldn't the weird mist butler drop me closer to the surface?!'

I could hear a distant explosion and could only hope that everybody was okay.

*Splash*

"Gah-" I choked out as soon as my body hit the water, knocking the wind out of me as I did so.

I tried my best to ignore the excruciating pain on my back as I landed perfectly parallel to the surface of the lake and tried to gather my bearings. It was hard as hell.

Every stroke I made in an attempt to breach the surface in hopes for air, which was a rare commodity right now, was stretching my stinging shoulder muscles. I kept wincing as I swam towards the light. My full cowling 5% was now in full effect, making my trip quicker.

'Just a little more!' My thoughts were encouraging and urging me forward.

As my hand breached, relief swept through my body. I was finally free from this watery prison. I did it! That hope was short-lived as I felt something grip my ankle.

I was too tunnel-visioned on my goal of getting to the surface, too focused on the light that awaited me atop the watery depths, that I forgot that there were villains present and most likely in the water with me.

I let out a gasp in a mixture of surprise and horror before quickly shutting my mouth as water began flooding in. Looking down at the offender, I was met with the sight of a person with what I can only assume is an angler fish mutation quirk.

I began thrashing around, stamping my free foot firmly on his face. I kept stamping, and stamping, and stamping, but he was still holding on. Dread was rapidly building up in me. My vision was fading slowly as the oxygen deprivation was slowly getting to me.

'Could this be my end? One for All's legacy ended as soon as it began… Sorry Uncle Might, Dad…'

Despite the negative thoughts filling my head, tempting me just to give up the struggle, to die, I kept stamping down with all the power my deoxygenated muscles could form as I looked around for another solution.

'Think Melissa! Think! What would Uncle Might do?' A metaphorical lightbulb flashed above my head as I remembered Uncle Might's weird advice, '"When you face a wall that you can't overcome, SMASH it down!"'

Swerving my head around, I try to locate the boat's position. After finding the boat's silhouette being cast, I lined myself up and flicked one of my fingers downwards, hoping that the 100% smash would propel me upwards. It worked, and the results were immediate.

*Gasp* *Cough* *Gasp*

I sucked in deep breaths of air as soon as I rocketed out of the lake. My attacker was still firmly holding onto me in the air, quickly weighing me down. I flicked once more and propelled myself towards the deck of the large boat.

Thankfully, the attacker was launched off of me too. I was hoping not to break any bones today… I was safe, for now, that is. Looking down, I was wondering why I couldn't feel the pain of my broken bones.

I got my answer in the form of an initially confusing sight. My fingers were slowly being healed, as if I never broke them in the first place. Flopping down on the deck, I sighed in relief,

'Sakuya almost inadvertently killed me today, but I guess she was never going to let it go that far.'

Looking around the ship I was now on. I spotted a sight I don't think I ever wanted to see so desperately in my life.

Sakuya was there in a swimsuit, and sunglasses, chilling on a recliner chair sunbathing with a cocktail on the top of the boat. She peered down at me over her sunglasses and gave a soft smile and a thumbs up.

I hate how much those actions reassured me as if she wasn't the sole person responsible for the class being in the situation in the first place.

'Is this what she meant by we are safe? Has she set up clones all over the zones and is watching over us at all times? I guess she is at least taking care of her mess, sort of.'

"I hate you so much!" I couldn't help but scream at the smug woman in front of me. My frustrations of almost dying were releasing with a steady rant of insults that I didn't mean.

"You did well, Melissa; you really do deserve that quirk," Sakuya said.

"You… Know?"

"Of course, I do, Melissa. I've known for a very long time."

I couldn't believe it, then again, she can see the future. Maybe it was revealed in the future, or an alternate timeline? I stopped my internal questions and asked the only thing I could think of that I really needed answering at the minute,

"C-Can you please help me control it?"

I hated how desperate I sounded, it wasn't something the next symbol of peace should sound like, but it was necessary for me. I nearly died. I can swallow any pride I have to make sure I'm never in that situation again. After a few tense moments of me waiting for an answer, and Sakuya just sitting there sipping on her beverage, she finally answered,

"Oh, Melissa, sweetie. I've been dropping hints about your quirk's powers since I met you. I just wanted to be discreet about my help; I guess I was a bit too discreet. So, yes, I will help you with your quirk."

"Thank you, Sakuya."

"You're welcome. A bit of advice for you right now. If you ever dream about a female with black hair called Nana Shimura, tell her that her son grew up to hate heroes and takes out his aggression of her leaving him on his own family.

Not that there's much left after her grandson dusted them all like a prepubescent Thanos.

Oh, and her grandson is the hand-fetish dude from earlier, and I'm probably going to end up killing him. The Shimura line will officially end by the end of the year."

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I don't know why, but something inside me was reacting when Sakuya finished speaking about this 'Shimura family.' It wasn't a pleasant feeling in the least. Sakuya must have noticed it already.

"Oya~? It seems like little ol' Nana heard me, oops~." she said, sounding like she planned for this 'Nana' to hear it in the first place.

"Um… Sakuya, why are you taunting her?" I asked the smug silver-haired woman.

"Because I'm a sadist? But, really? I'm just trying to rile up the freeloading dead people that inhabit your quirk in hopes they actually decide to do something with their pathetic non-living lives and decide to give you advice and allow access to their own quirks." She replied casually as if this wasn't a groundbreaking discovery that is changing my life.

"Mhm yep, there are vengeful lazy spirits inside my quirk, mhm, I get more quirks too…

What the fuck are you talking about?! There are dead people inside of me?!"

"Yeah… One for All is crazy, right?"

"That's putting it mildly!"

"Just imagine, if All Might dies, he will be inside of your quirk too. You'll have your precious Uncle Might watching over you, alongside seven others, for your entire life. One for All is creepy as hell, ew~."

"Ew, ew, ew, ew~! Never say that ever again! Are there any other things I should know about my quirk?" I questioned, still grimacing at the prospect of Uncle Might following me forever.

"Yep~, but they can be saved for another time as two more of your classmates are about to board."

Low and behold, she was right. Tsuyu and an unconscious Mineta boarded. Well, it was more like Tsuyu boarded, and she flung Mineta onto the deck with her tongue.

"Congratulations~! You have all passed the flood zone. You've won some well-needed rest. Take a nap or whatever you want, and I will make sure nobody will be able to board until the attack is over."

'Is she always this carefree about things?'

"Not all the time."

'Did I say that out loud? Oh lord, I really do need some rest.' I thought before flopping down onto a chair Sakuya duplicated.

(Katsuki POV)

I was building up my sweat reserves in hopes of getting the jump on the misty fucker, then that damn silver hair had to stop me! What a bitch, now I'm all sweaty and about to be dropped off in a random zone.

'At least there will be some extras to take my anger out on. They all better survive because I only like durable punching bags.'

A feral grin spread out on my face as I fell through the mist; I was very excited to get some actual fights finally. The best one I've had since coming here was against Pink Cheeks and Glasses Girl.

Soon the reds and ambers of the conflagration zone came into my vision, and I could only swear mentally and curse my bad luck. Out of the six zones, I had to go to the one with open flames?! A single word came into my mind before I detonated.

'Fuck!'

*BBOOOOOOOOOOMM!*

The entire building shook, and everything was now in ruins. I myself had blast resistance due to my body evolving with my quirk to survive my quirk's explosion, albeit barely. Staggering to my feet, I could see the silver-haired bitch herself on top of one of the buildings chilling out as if fuck all happened.

She looked over to me, raised her palm in my direction, and said,

"Wohoo~! You got this, Katsuki!"

She healed all of my wounds and probably moved the villains out of my blast radius when I detonated. I noticed that the sweat on my exposed skin wasn't detonating any longer,

'Must be her stupid time barriers.'

Gritting my teeth, I launched myself into combat with the gathering mob in front of me after checking that my palms could explode when I wanted. I didn't want another colossal detonation accident ever again.

"Come on, you extras! Try to entertain me, at least, you weaklings!"

A deep voice called out from the crowd, and something about it struck a deep feeling of fear in me.

"A weakling, the glorious me? Who decided that?"

A hulking mass of muscle parted the crowd, the smuggest of smirks plastered on his face, his orange hair illuminated under the light of the miniature sun on his finger.

'Why did I have to be sent here of all places?!'

(Sakuya POV)

Now, some people may want to beat me up after this, so I made some clones, and they've been chilling in each of the separate zones in hopes it would mollify them somewhat. I can only hope that they don't just taunt everyone and make it worse.

'Who am I kidding? Of course, they're taunting my classmates. It's what I would be doing in their positions.' I chuckled at even entertaining the notion of something based on me not taunting something.

When I was finally dropped out of the misty abyss, I didn't need to bother looking around to find out where I was. My hair was getting wet, and it was dark. I could only be in the downpour zone.

It didn't take long for me to find out where Katsuki was sent. A satisfying explosion rang throughout the downpour zone. I was even more excited than before.

I soon had a brand new set of memories from my clone in the downpour zone. I now knew roughly where everyone was. The majority of them had been led into one of the multiple office buildings.

'Hah~ my clone really gift-wrapped them all up into one place, how kind of them.'

My smile was reaching my ears, my cheeks noticeably flushed, my heart beating noticeably faster. I was excited. I want to see their faces when I try something I've always wanted to do.

Flipping through the air, I now landed gracefully with the help of time shenanigans. I shot off at mach speeds to take care of any stragglers that didn't wish to turn up to my clone's gracious invitation to an office party.

As soon as I caught up to them, I gripped one of their faces and buried them into the concrete.

"Found you~."

One of the 'braver' thugs decided to step up, his legs shaking like leaves in the wind, and said in a 'threatening' tone.

"What a cute little girl you are, I'll tell you what; if you come and entertain us, we won't harm you much."

"Ara~ ara~ How kind of you. I would have believed you, but you hold no power here; your legs are shaking, and it looks like you wet yourself."

"I-It's just the rain!" he shouted with a bright red face.

His friends clearly noticed it and began walking away from him, disgust marring their expressions.

"Bro, did you really piss yourself?"

"I can't believe I followed this guy...."

"I should have gone to the office party instead."

Getting bored of them conversing amongst themselves, I called out to the probable bed wetter,

"Sure it is, big boy~ Let's play a little game, shall we? It's rather simple, really…

Try not to die."

Reaching into my magnetically locked grenade holder, I duplicated a tesla singularity grenade. Reverting it to its original size, the villains had a clear image of what it was or could at least assume what it was.

"Is that a fucking grenade?!"

"Aren't you supposed to be a hero? Why the fuck do you have explosives?!"

'Just wait until they see the sports festival being broadcasted over in Tartarus. They'll get to see there's a walking explosion Howitzer Impact-ing everything that moves.'

"Now~, now~, don't tell me that you're scared? *Gasp* The big bad villains are scared of a little girl and her toy? How pathetic." I couldn't help but break down laughing at their expressions.

Clicking the button on top of the grenade, it was now armed. All I needed to do was throw it, and they would all be sucked into one pile before being constantly electrocuted. Teleporting up to a nearby rooftop, the thugs believed they had been spared.

How naive.

I dropped the grenade down into the middle of the crowd and watched the arcs of lightning fly. As the world ran on anime logic, I could see their skeletons when they were being shocked. It was oddly satisfying seeing their twitching, charred, bodies piled upon one another in the rain.

"Hah~ this is what I've longed for!"

All good things have to come to an end, well not really as I could stay here forever and watch it with my quirk, so I teleported over to the office building. Seeing as the mob of people was still searching the building for me so that they could have some 'fun,' I decided to have some fun of my own.

I sealed off all of the windows, and other possible exits, before slowly shrinking the building in on itself. They were about to experience what it would be like in a trash compactor. They are the trash of society, so I am just helping them out, really.

After a minute or so, they realized the situation they were in. The walls were closing in on them, and time was running out. They ran their fastest all the way to the open door on the ground floor in hopes of escaping the death trap they were now in. They all hit an invisible wall.

No matter how much or hard they hit the wall, it remained intact. Despair was seeping in, and I loved every single iota that showed on their faces. Tears were involuntarily escaping their ducts.

I couldn't help it any longer; I needed to see their expression's up close. The second I teleported in front of the wall, they began shouting for me to free them.

"Hey! Get us outta here!"

"Oh~? Pray tell… why would I ever do that? You all kept shouting about how much 'fun' you wanted to have with me, and now that I start playing with you, you start getting angry? How hypocritical."

"You fucking bitch, aren't you a hero?! We're gonna die in here, do your job and save us!"

"Our blood is gonna be on your hands!"

"Hahahahaha- oh god, you're serious?"

"Huh?!"

"Why wouldn't we be?!"

"This is just hilarious! The villains that invaded a school filled with teenagers, one of whom you wanted to rape, dare play the moral high ground here? It's sad."

A cruel smile marred my elegant features when I leaned in and whispered to the people in the front of the pile.

"I've already left one group of you lowlifes to die. I'll say the same thing to you that I said to them. Could you do me a favor? Try not to die."

I whisked away, leaving them to wallow away in their anguish. I wasn't going to crush them because then I would have to waste my not-so-precious time restoring them. I left a clone to monitor the situation discreetly.

It may have also been so I can fully enjoy their fall into madness when the clone dissipates in the future.

'Time to pay Mr. Incestual Hand Fetish and Oboro 2.0 a visit.'
