Deranged Killer Moth

Ffft- Ffft- Ffft-

Suddenly, 3 white-colored balls made of True Qi materialized on each side of the Deranged Killer Moth. Without any prior warning, the balls of True Qi flew towards Xiang Xiang at an incredible speed.

'That thing already sensed my presence or something?' She said as she gained distance from the moth and dodged multiple balls of True Qi. They flew faster than bullets, but Xiang Xiang had no problem dealing with them.

Thanks to her heightened senses, reaction time, and control over her body of course.

'That moth is only at the peak of the second stage but its power is no joke. If I'm right it should be just a step away from the 3rd stage of the foundation building realm.'

Xiang Xiang turned around to face the moth from a distance and swiped out with her hand, releasing a considerable amount of Evil Qi.

The Evil Qi condensed into the form of 5 large red crystal-like spikes. Xiang Xiang waved again and the spikes flew towards the moth with incredible speed.

"Let's see how you can handle these!" She said as the spikes flew between the trees, leaving small cuts on the bark.

KKREEEEE-

The moth made an incomprehensible sound as it dodged the spikes, but to its surprise one of the spikes had already penetrated the bottom of its left-wing, causing grey-ish white blood to spill out.

The other 4 spikes didn't manage to hit the moth and soon turned back into uncondensed True Qi.

'Damn, this thing has fast reflexes too? Well, I don't want to fight a long ranged battle of attrition and luck so I'm going in for close combat!'

Xiang Xiang covered her feet with Evil Qi, enhancing her speed. It only took her 4 steps to reach the moth, which was over 100 meters away. Along the way, she materialized some Evil Qi into the form of a cross blade.

She swung the sword at the moth with immense force, causing a red trail to appear behind the sword.

"Take this!"

The sword made a humming sound as it became slightly blurry and a considerable amount of blood leaked out from the left-wing of the moth.

When Xiang Xiang looked over, she saw a giant gash made from the sword on the moth's left-wing. Pure white blood leaked profusely from it as the moth began moving strangely.

MMMMM!

All of a sudden, the moth's body was outlined with a bright purple color that gave Xiang Xiang a faint sense of danger.

'What the hell? Is that outline strengthening it? That means the moth broke through to the 3rd stage...'

While Xiang Xiang was analyzing the current situation, the moth already made a move.

Fsssh-

The moth's body blurred and appeared directly in front of Xiang Xiang's face. Along with it, over a dozen purple spikes condensed from True Qi appeared around the moth. Without any warning, they all simultaneously launched at Xiang Xiang.

Pfft-

Before Xiang Xiang could react, she felt a burning sensation on her right shoulder. She looked over, and to her surprise, there was a cut the size of 3 inches on her shoulder.

It may have looked painless, but for some odd reason, a ton of blood was leaking from the wound.

'What the hell man! Isn't it just barely in the 3rd stage of the foundation building realm? I can't play around anymore...'

As Xiang Xiang thought this, she released a ton of Evil Qi, which wasn't a problem now that she successfully assimilated the Guidao Shen Heart in her body.

After this, she condensed the Evil Qi into over a dozen cross blades that all had strange golden lusters.

Xiang Xiang glared at the Deranged Killer Moth, not daring to let it out of her sight.

Suddenly, its body blurred. At this time, Xiang Xiang's eyes contracted and she immediately began running forward.

At the same time, she felt the wind behind her growing extremely cold and turbulent so she jumped while pivoting her body to look behind her while she was still moving forward.

There, just as she expected, the moth appeared and along with it more of those purple spikes.

"Feel this pain. I won't go easy on you anymore!" She said as she put her hands forward and the swords behind her flew at the moth.

As this happened, she took the opportunity to run towards the spot that she damaged the moth's wing at. There, she stared at the white and grey-ish blood for a moment.

Blood Strengthening Technique!

The moth felt an intense sense of danger as it looked at Xiang Xiang's silhouette that now exuded a dangerous aura. It also noticed that its blood that was previously on the ground was gone, though some of it was next to Xiang Xiang's legs.

The moth dealt with Xiang Xiang's swords and was about to counter-attack, but Xiang Xiang's silhouette vanished.

!!

It looked around cautiously for a moment before it sensed Xiang Xiang's aura right in front of it.

"Take this!" Xiang Xiang brought her right fist back and punched the moth right in its furry face.

The moth was stunned for a short period of time and Xiang Xiang exploited this exposed opportunity by condensed a bit of Evil Qi into the form of a sword and stabbing it into the moth's body.

Kghrgrr...

The moth shook violently as blood began leaking profusely from the sword wound. Xiang Xiang finally ripped the sword out of its body, and along with it a large amount of blood.

'Whatever strengthening ability this thing has, it's definitely powerful. If I didn't take the opportunity to distract the moth with my swords and use the Blood Strengthening Technique to temporarily power myself up, then I would've been fighting it for hours.

And I can guarantee that I'll make a mess of the forest and those disciples would probably notice and come to investigate, and if they did then it'd be over for me.'

Xiang Xiang looked at the moth as it fell lightly to the ground and the blood inside of its body became hard. She was confused as she witnessed the sight but quickly began digging through the moth's body for the monster core.

It was harder than she thought because the moth's entire body became like a stone after it died.

Luckily, Xiang Xiang could transform and condense her Evil Qi so she just imbued her hand with it and smash the moth's body to pieces. In the absolute middle of the moth's body was lying a bright yellow swirling monster core.

It even had faint specs of True Qi swirling around it and it had the texture of a stone and looked like one as well.

It looked like a rough stone with a mystical bright yellow crystal embedded in it.

Xiang Xiang grabbed the monster core, observed it for a few minutes, and converted its Qi nature from True Qi to Evil, which is something she learned to do after killing the YinYang Bear.

This was also something common for cultivators who use different types of Mortal Qi.

They would expose a treasure or something with its own Qi to their Qi if both Qi weren't the same. After doing that for at least a minute, depending on the greatness and benefits of the treasure, its Qi nature would change to theirs.

An object or something's Qi nature determines what form of Qi they or it will naturally release and produce.

Though, finding treasures with the same Qi nature as you would be more beneficial than changing the Qi nature of a treasure.

"This singular monster core won't do anything for me, I'll stick with the Demon Lotus. I'll give this to the other two so that their cultivation speed can increase."

With that, Xiang Xiang left the body of the Derange Killer Moth lying on the ground as she made her way deeper into the forest.

She didn't plan on fighting any more magical beasts right now, Xiang Xiang only decided to stay in the forest because she wanted to try and discover the so-called 'Billowing Clouds Sect'.

If Xiang Xiang could figure out its location, then that would be advantageous. She could expand the village's size and population which she was planning on training in cultivation.

Though she would stay a safe enough distance away from the Billowing Clouds Sect. It was obvious to her that they cultivated True Qi and would be an opposing faction to her since she cultivated Evil Qi.

"Woah! Who the hell are they?" Xiang Xiang gasped in surprise as she saw three humanoid silhouettes with rather interesting appearances.

She could clearly see that they all had horns and tails that were on the side of their heads and curved upward. They were all carrying weapons, one was carrying a giant axe, the other carrying two daggers and the last one was carrying what seemed to be a rapier.

Xiang Xiang was intrigued by this so she sneakily advanced forward to get a better view of the three individuals.

As she looked at them, her heart was beating hard.

'Is this the race that will try and take control over the world?'

Xiang Xiang knew that the world was currently at the beginning of an epoch, but she didn't know what the next leading race would be.

Now she did, and she also figured out that humans were never the eternal rulers of this world, they were just another intelligent race. Countless races were leading the world at one point, but the leading race was always switched every now and then.

Though sometimes some races would stay as the leading races until the next world epoch.

'They look similar to demons, but I've only seen them in videos...' Xiang Xiang recalled a memory of her watching what she thinks was called 'anime'. There were people in the 'anime' with similar features to these people on their bodies.

Though, demons didn't exist back in her(his) world.

'Very interesting...'
