Part 2/ sonic.exe

Many people were interested in Sonic.exe games and stories, almost most of them knew the birth of Sonic.exe creepypasta, the story started with Tom, but some knew that the real origin was in Kyle's story, it was never known what happened to Kyle before Tom's story, until now.(WARNING!!!!! This creepypasta has parts of the famous creepypasta from "Genocide City Zone (Sonic 2)".

I used to be a fan of Sonic the Hedgehog games just like my friend Tom, but he was actually more of a fan than me. Tom would always talk about every Sonic game he knew; the Sonic game I liked the most was Sonic 2, because Sonic went through levels of every type. For example: the countryside (Emerald Hill Zone), the cities (Chemical Plant Zone), the ruins (Aquatic Ruin Zone), the casino (Casino Night Zone), the mountains (Hill Top Zone), the caves (Mystic Cave Zone), an oil factory (Oil Ocean Zone), Dr. Robotnik's city (Metropolis), the sky (Sky Chase Zone), Dr. Robotnik's floating fortress (Wing Fortress Zone), space (Death Egg Zone), and the cumbia dimension.

I had heard that in the beta of the game there were other levels that were not in the game, those levels were Dust Hill Zone, Genocide City Zone, Hidden Palace Zone, and Wood Zone I had also heard that they were going to put 2 levels in the beta, those were Rock Zone and Winter Zone but they were not confirmed; or at least I thought so.

I was very interested in those levels, specially Hidden Palace Zone because the Master Emerald appeared in that level. I couldn't hold on any longer, I wanted to play the beta levels; so I started researching on the internet; I was looking for a hack that dealt with the beta levels for my game "Sonic the Hedgehog 2 PC" (I didn't like emulated games so I got the pc version), I searched several pages without giving up until I saw a page that said "Sonic 2 PC Hack Beta" I clicked on that page, and a big title appeared that said "Sonic 2 Beta Hack for Sonic 2 PC Version" I was surprised, I saw many images of the beta levels except the Genocide City Zone image, but under all the images there was a description of the page that said that all the beta levels were in the hack and other things.

It also said that at the end of the download I had to open a text file to read the instructions; I didn't wait any longer and immediately downloaded the hack.

When the download was finished the winrar file appeared, I unzipped it and two files appeared: one was an application called "Sonic.exe" (.exe means that it is an executable file, or system application to open a program) and the other was the text file that had the instructions, it was simply titled "Instructions"; I opened it and it said "First you have to kill Sonic2.exe and put in its place Sonic.exe and then you will play with it".

The Instructions seemed a bit creepy, but I thought the word "kill" referred to "remove" and "so you will play with it" referred to the game, i.e. the hack.

I deleted the Sonic2.exe application, put Sonic.exe in its place and since I couldn't wait any longer (I should have never done that) I immediately started opening Sonic.exe.

When the title screen appeared it looked different, its aspect was completely similar to the Sonic 2 beta, I was very excited to try it; when I started to play I didn't see Tails, but, the rest was fine; I went through half of the levels and I had obtained all the Chaos Emeralds but I couldn't transform into Super Sonic; when I arrived to Hidden Palace Zone, in the last act a cinematic appeared: Tails was tied to the Master Emerald and Dr. Robotnik was laughing maliciously, at that moment Sonic appeared running towards Tails, but Sonic noticed Tails and shot a laser beam to the Master Emerald, then Sonic shot a laser beam to the Master Emerald, then Sonic ran towards Tails and Sonic shot a laser beam to the Master Emerald. Robotnik was laughing maliciously, at that moment Sonic appeared running towards Tails, but Dr. Robotnik noticed Sonic and shot a laser beam at the Master Emerald, then Sonic transforms into Super Sonic and manages to save Tails from the laser beam, and that's when the level ends with the cinematic.

After the cinematic a message appeared on the screen saying "Sonic has saved Tails" and after that Tails could follow me; I passed all the levels and finished the game, but Genocide City Zone didn't appear, so I wanted to play again without collecting the Chaos Emeralds (I thought something could happen that way).

After a long time playing I arrived to Hidden Palace Zone, but this time the cinematic was different: Tails was tied to the Master Emerald and Dr. Robotnik gives a malicious laugh, then Sonic appears running towards Tails, but this time Dr. Robotnik notices Sonic, shoots him a laser beam which he doesn't manage to dodge and is unconscious, Dr. Robotnik shoots a laser beam to the Master Emerald and explodes with Tails.

Suddenly a message appeared saying "I couldn't save him", I was shocked because apparently this showed some kind of bad ending and if that was the case I couldn't believe that Tails died.

After that the level I wanted to see appeared: Genocide City Zone, but, there was nothing, I fell into the void many times until the level loaded completely... it looked strange, it had parts of Chemical Plant Zone and there was fire in the background, there were no enemies, only cliffs and platforms.

I managed to complete the level, but, Sonic instead of going to the right went to the left and fell down a cliff, Sonic didn't have so many lives and when he fell the last one was gone; the Continue message appeared, I set it to "Yes" and nothing happened, I pressed it many times until I decided to set it to "No", suddenly the screen was completely black.

It was like that for about 20 seconds and the game closed with the error message, but, I was terrified when I knew that the error said "Sonic.exe stopped working ERROR 666" I was very scared, but, even so I thought that my computer had suffered some failures before and that's why I got that number, but, I could not ignore everything that happened to me. I deleted Sonic.exe and took Sonic2.exe out of the Recycle Bin and put it in the Sonic the Hedgehog 2 PC directory; I started to play Sonic 2 normal so that the game would work fine and leave Sonic. exe, but, the game remained with the black screen for 20 seconds and it came out again ERROR 666; this time I was very scared, I removed immediately the Sonic 2 PC, I eliminated everything related to Sonic from my computer, I was still very scared and also nervous, I restarted my computer and the first thing I did was to enter to the page of the hack to denounce it; when I entered to the page something had changed, it was not supposed to show the name of the creator of the page and of the hack, I saw the name in a small side of the page, it was called "Zalgo" I didn't care about the name I just wanted to report it, but, the internet did not respond, it was stuck for 20 seconds and... I could not believe it... error 666 appeared again. I could not believe it... error 666 appeared again; I was traumatized, scared, nervous, all my breath was coming out, I was drowning, I was about to lose consciousness, I turned off my computer in a hurry, I kept pressing the shutdown button until the computer was turned off.

I was not calm all day, I could not sleep at night, I was nervous; 4 days passed and I decided to buy a disk to format my computer, I went back home and inserted it into my computer, I turned on the computer, but nothing happened, I waited 20 seconds and.... the screen appeared... the screen... the screen appeared... the screen... the screen appeared. appeared... the screen... again I was about to lose consciousness, I couldn't go on any more, but I wanted to get to the bottom of all this, I wanted to finish once and for all, I took courage and started to play (the worst mistake I made in my life).

At the beginning of the game I noticed that for a small second the water of Green Hill Zone became red like blood, the dark sky, and Sonic's eyes became black and a red light came out inside his eye, blood came out of his eyes like tears, it was as if Sonic had no eyes and the blood came out from inside, in that small second I was very scared, but, after that the Data Select of Sonic 3 appeared and there were Tails, Knuckles, and Dr. Robotnik, the background of the screen was in the middle of the screen, the background of the game was in the middle of the screen, the background of the game was in the middle of the screen. Robotnik, the background was the same as the background of the future bad guy from Stardust Speedway when Sonic faces Metal Sonic. The music was very irritating, I couldn't change characters, it was as if they were locked, it was very logical since he had a lock on him; the only one that was unlocked was Tails, I pressed a button and the music stopped, a macabre laugh was heard and the screen went black again. The level title appeared, but, I expected it was going to say Green Hill Zone Act 1 but it said "Hill Act 1" now I could play with Tails, I was in Green Hill Zone; I tried the controls and moved around the place, Tails had 0 lives, there were no enemies neither Rings, everything was so flat, there were only bushes, flowers, palm trees and those things; I kept moving forward until I found the worst, there were dead animals everywhere, mutilated, bitten, beheaded, some were hanging in the flowers and palm trees, I couldn't believe it, I was terrified; I kept moving, I arrived to a place where there were no flowers, palm trees, bushes, corpses, I went ahead and I found Sonic with his eyes closed, when Tails saw Sonic he made an animation that I had never seen, he made a surprised face looking at Sonic, little by little the music stopped and Tails walked slowly towards Sonic, the screen was in a weird way; when Tails arrived to Sonic. ... was... affected... for a second Tails looked at Sonic with a threatening face pointing his hand and Sonic opened his eyes, blood was coming out of his eyes and his pupils were red, after that second the screen was black for about 4 seconds and a message appeared from which I peed in my pants, that message came with a demonic voice and said the same thing that the message said

"Hi do you want to play with me?"

I assumed that Sonic said that, that's what I thought, then the title of another level came out, but, it had a very weird name, it was titled "Hide and Seek" I appeared in Angel Island Act 2, Tails did an animation of going to the right then I went to the right for a little while and I crapped in my seat when I saw that images of Sonic appeared everywhere repeatedly with that macabre laugh, I kept moving Tails forward and then Sonic appears behind flying towards Tails; I didn't want to see what would happen if Sonic would reach Tails, I pressed the button without releasing it to move away from Sonic, but, it was useless, he was getting closer to Tails in every second, the music was similar to the music that sounds when Sonic is about to drown, each time that music was getting faster and faster just like Sonic, I didn't want to see, I had tears in my eyes of what could happen to Tails; finally Sonic touched Tails and at that moment Sonic disappeared and the music stopped playing, Tails was crying, but, in an instant Sonic appeared making a movement like to scare or catch and Tails turns to Sonic, after a second and a half I had a heart attack when Sonic used open hands towards Tails and the poor Tails screams very loud while blood came out in the middle of his body and he broke in two; That lasted for a second and the screen went black again, Sonic's macabre laughter sounded again, after that a message appeared and Sonic said with his demon voice "You're too slow, do you want to play it again? ".

At the end of that I went back to Data Select, but.... Tails was not where the other characters should be, Tails was in his game screen with a gloomy and sad aspect; his body was gray and his eyes were black, his pupils were red, he was crying blood and had a sad face; I could not believe it, I could not stand it anymore, Sonic had killed his best friend Tails, I wanted to turn off my computer, but, I wanted all this to end at once; I could not play with Tails anymore because he was dead, but, I had unlocked Knuckles so I started to play with him.

"Tom,

I can't take it anymore, I had to get rid of this thing somehow before it was too late, and I was hoping you would do it for me. I can't do it, he's after me, and if you don't destroy this disk, he's going to come after you too, it's too fast for me ....

Please Tom, destroy this godforsaken disc before he comes after you too, it's too late for me.

Destroy the disc, just do it, but make it quick otherwise catastrophes are going to happen. Don't even play the game, that's what he wants, just destroy it.

I made the note quickly, but, I was sure Tom would understand me; the next day, my house was without light, next to me I saw the soul of Tails, Knuckles, and Dr. Robotnik, behind me was Sonic, them dragging my soul to their horrible world. I didn't know anything about Tom anymore, and I wasn't sure if Tom had destroyed the disc; every day I was in that hell I forgot who I was; I wondered what had happened to Tom and the disc.
