He spreads his wings

AN UNSETTLING SILENCE hovers over the long hallway as Connor and Aubrey walk side by side. Neither of them says anything to the other after the awkward occurrence back at the Tailor's shop. Connor keeps his hands tucked into his pocket as he walks slightly ahead of Aubrey, leading the way. Aubrey can't tell what he is thinking or what the main reason for him grabbing her hand is—she may have read meaning into it, thereby creating this dense silence.

However, the beautiful hallway catches her whole attention and she raises her head to stare at the huge chandelier placed at the center. It is indeed a castle—a gigantic castle one. There are different images of different people; some naked, some with animals around them, some with weapons in their hands—she has seen these images in the books from the school's library and Brady has shown her some of them when they were still kids.

They are the images of gods.
