In attempt to get her toaster after it has been stolen, Aubrey accidentally entangles herself with the highest supernatural beings ever existed~ gods. 

These gods are dangerous, irrational beings, who have been banished for their sinful and diabolical acts. And they still remain atrocious in their actions when they find out the "missing piece" is hidden inside the body of a 19-year-old college student, Aubrey. This "missing piece" belongs to Kai— the highest god, the pure representation of evil who is incapable of emotions other than anger and grief. He wants to get reunited with his missing piece, which means he'll do anything to get closer to the girl. But his brothers and sisters are determined to hide Aubrey from him, so as to keep the missing piece safe, before Kai gets his hands on her.

Things start to go sideways as affection, greed and lust arises among the gods, especially when Kai's half-brother starts to fall in love with Aubrey.

The Great and Lonely: Kai

THE QUIET HOUSE IS FILLED WITH THE SUBTLE SOUNDS OF THEIR KISSES and the atmosphere seems to grow hotter as the time passes by. The two gets too occupied with the other to notice any of the blaring car sounds coming from the roads.

Things get more heated up when Aubrey's hands make their way up to Kai's back, laying small rubs up to his shoulders and back down in repeated motions. A low groan escapes his lips as he begins fumbling with the hem of her shirt, moving his hands higher into her shirt. He suddenly craves for more— he wraps both arms around her, pulling her into him to feel every part of her as he kisses her lips. Aubrey gasps at the sudden need of the god and he takes that opportunity to slips his tongue into her mouth.

The action drives the two of them crazy as they grab each other's clothes, whilst deepening the kiss. Kai takes a hand off her waist to hold her face in place as he takes control of the kiss after she had tried to.
