In attempt to get her toaster after it has been stolen, Aubrey accidentally entangles herself with the highest supernatural beings ever existed~ gods. 

These gods are dangerous, irrational beings, who have been banished for their sinful and diabolical acts. And they still remain atrocious in their actions when they find out the "missing piece" is hidden inside the body of a 19-year-old college student, Aubrey. This "missing piece" belongs to Kai— the highest god, the pure representation of evil who is incapable of emotions other than anger and grief. He wants to get reunited with his missing piece, which means he'll do anything to get closer to the girl. But his brothers and sisters are determined to hide Aubrey from him, so as to keep the missing piece safe, before Kai gets his hands on her.

Things start to go sideways as affection, greed and lust arises among the gods, especially when Kai's half-brother starts to fall in love with Aubrey.

ON TOP OF THAT, SHE STARTS TO FEEL VERY UNSETTLED AND GUILTY WHEN SHE SEES HER FELLOW CLASSMATES GRIEVE THE DEATH OF THEIR LOVED ONES AND FRIENDS.

She never really thought about that aspect until now. She was only worried that everyone in school would be conversing about the incident about four days ago but she never thought about the many sad and grieving faces she would see as she walked into the school. The first thing she witnessed as she walked into the school's gate was a girl crying into the shoulders of her friends.

No one is over it yet. Even if it is almost a week that it happened, everyone is still very affected by it. In every direction she looks, there is someone crying or leaning into a friends' chest.
