In attempt to get her toaster after it has been stolen, Aubrey accidentally entangles herself with the highest supernatural beings ever existed~ gods. 

These gods are dangerous, irrational beings, who have been banished for their sinful and diabolical acts. And they still remain atrocious in their actions when they find out the "missing piece" is hidden inside the body of a 19-year-old college student, Aubrey. This "missing piece" belongs to Kai— the highest god, the pure representation of evil who is incapable of emotions other than anger and grief. He wants to get reunited with his missing piece, which means he'll do anything to get closer to the girl. But his brothers and sisters are determined to hide Aubrey from him, so as to keep the missing piece safe, before Kai gets his hands on her.

Things start to go sideways as affection, greed and lust arises among the gods, especially when Kai's half-brother starts to fall in love with Aubrey.

The Great and Lonely: Kai

A MOMENT PASSES WITH NOTHING SAID IN THE ROOM but their eyes pass on words that no one else can ever hear. The next minute, Kai pulls himself up and begins kissing her lovingly. His hands subconsciously roam round her body and begin taking off each layer of clothing she has on carefully and slowly, savoring each minute.

However, they don't get far since a loud panging sound from the kitchen catches their attention and causes them to break up.

Aubrey is the first to jolt as she detaches her lips from his to stare wide eyed at the closed door of the bedroom. "What was that?" She breathes hard.

"Probably just the wind." Kai absentmindedly answers, kissing her neck as he tries to set back the mood.
