Return to the Ant War

After Enroy did this, He revealed a hole that was about 2 feet high. It was rough, but it was good enough.

"Is this it?" Jacob asked.

"Yes, This is an escape route that leads to a house that is on the edge of the city. It will avoid all ant holes. Once we leave this hole and into the house, it will simply climb out of here." Enroy was sounded confident but depressed at his situation.

"You go first" Jacob ordered, Enroy went into the hole and led the way for them to crawl. They crawled for hours on end. Jacob wasn't suspicious of Enroy, but he didn't particularly trust him either.

He was a known variable in his eyes, so he decided not to make friends with him and treat him as a hostage. After some more crawling, they started going through cement.

"How long did this take you?" Jacob asked Enroy for some small talk but he was never returned the courtesy. Enroy clicked his tongue then scoffed "Does it matter?"

Jacob left the man alone and never questioned him anymore. Soon Enroy knocked off a wooden door as he came from the ground. Soon Jacob came from the same hole. Before Jacob could address him Enroy ran and burst through a door.

Jacob never even had time to react but Jacob didn't care about him. He never had any use for him anyway. "Time to get out of here Pupa" Jacob was talking to the last surviving termite larvae. It was scary but maybe it knew that it needed Jacob or Maybe he didn't understand what happened to his brothers and sisters. He never gave me any trouble.

Jacob walked outside the little shack into a family of ants staring at him. The ants started at him like a mirror. It was a full family of mom dad daughter son and toddler. The scene was awkward. "Haha…." Jacob nervously laughed, "Just coming through no need to fear".

Jacob realized he was invisible. He mentally facepalmed himself and quickly et through the door. The family started screaming as Jacob left the house, they were in panic.

Jacob could only imagine the horror they felt not understanding what was happening. It was funny.

Jacob walked along up to the cave entrance where he made his way back into the cave systems and continued on his way outside. Jacob was almost familiar with the cave systems by now and knew where to go. He was walking back to the clearing where the Ants were warring, and red screams that were significantly louder than he remembered.

He hurried and finally turned the corner where he was able to catch a peek at what was happening. "How the hell do they have this much manpower, what are they fighting for ''. Jacob wondered. The Ants were wreaking havoc on each other, not even fearing death.

The Ants here were a lot stronger than normal. It looked like it was a battle of elites. The smallest at would be around Jacob's height. Jacob never feared them because he felt stronger than ever, and outrunning them should be possible as long as a character like the Ant Queen came out of hiding.

Though, that wasn't likely.

Jacob watched their war and there were some noticeable changes this time. There were a lot stronger Ants this time, but other than that, the war looked to almost be at a climax. Giving it a few more hours the stronger ants would bite the dust making the others kill each other much faster.

Jacob stayed and watched. He knew in his gut that few things could split a colony up like this, Then things started to make sense to him slowly. "The Golden Egg, Is it the Queen's Egg Enroy was talking about? Will that be the new Queen for the Colony? If so why would they fight for it".

While Jacob was thinking about this when he saw the golden egg that he remembered perfectly fly into the sky. Wherever it landed all the ants flooded into the direction killing whoever caught it.

Jacob remembered he was invisible to ants and went closer toward the war to watch. Jacob felt it would be nice to have the Queen's egg, Jacob knew himself more than anyone and knew he would try and seize it for himself.

Jacob made his decision but wasn't going to send himself out to die. He sat on a rock on the way out from the battlefield. He watched the war playing out in front of his eyes. He watched Ants get killstreaks only to die by being backstabbed,

Jacob could already see it being taught in history classes. Though he was looking for something else.

Jacob was watching the golden egg intently. Now that he set his mind on it, he would give it his best shot." He watched the set of ants that were always fighting for it, Aside from being the death machine. It was also a centre of attraction.

It would take the attention away from the powerhouses, essentially creating confusion, Confusion Jacob could use to his advantage. Jacob soon made his plan and sat waiting for his opportunity.

Soon the egg flew up in the air near him, he took out his knife then smiled "Men die for wealth as birds die for food". As Jacob said this he took off running. He built up as much momentum as he possibly could and leapt up toward the golden egg.

He controlled himself kick and punted the Queen egg toward a Superclass Ant.

The Ant was blinded with bloodlust and never realized the swarm of ants blindly running toward him. The Egg fell on his head and rolled off.

The Ant never knew what was happening, but looked up in time to see an army of ants running toward him. The Superclass Ant couldn't fight off all of them. It was confused as it was being thrashed by an army of ants. It was killed ruthlessly.
