25 Aaron Lee; responsible father, husband, boss

Aaron was the regular guy. He was as meticulous as the clothes he wore every single day and as the group he headed. Every paper signed, carefully studied. He had a number of consultants he turned to when big decisions were to be made. He could not afford to make a mistake.

He burned the midnight oil as a student and passed high school and college with flat A marks, bachelor in chemistry, summa cum laude. Every top company wanted him when he graduated from college. The discipline he carried as a man especially when he had to assume work responsibilities.

Aaron's latest project was called a super-highway that ran coast to coast connecting and benefiting thirty cities and towns. But even as he was rich, he lived a simple life. By simple I mean clean. Golf. Work. Home. Family. The golfing friends he had to maintain as part of a business decision. Other than these, Aaron loved spending time with Isabella and the kids. He learned early on. Some people learned early on; some, later on in life. Be honest, or people won't be honest with you either if you're not. Be faithful to your spouse, or God won't be faithful to you if you're not. Be truthful, for God is the God of truth. Be just, for God is a just God. Be merciful, or God will not be merciful. These precepts, he kept as a rule of thumb.

Just as he couldn't make a mistake, he also couldn't accept a mistake. But he already did make a mistake. He only learned early on. He couldn't afford another mistake, not in his marriage life.

Now, didn't I tell you that Isabella was a local beauty queen? Now she was trying to live life out with Aaron. The family thing was a significant milestone in her life.

She would have been an international beauty, a model, or an actress in a theater or the celluloid, a pianist, a fencing afficionado—she was a good cook—she would have been a star in her own galaxy, but she took the backseat as soon as mothering took precedence. How she loved Aaron. How she loved her kids.
