The explosion put Alex in a daze. He could see the two women fly away, leaving behind Windborn, who made his way toward him. He tried to fight again, but his body was limp, ignoring his commands.

Alex's plan had been simple, albeit based on wishful thinking more than anything. Because he was unable to act while frozen by Fairy Xin, he first needed to undo her grasp on him. Burning away her suppression with his Yang had been, in his opinion, the perfect way to do it.

When it worked, Alex would then use the Spirit Reversal technique to make himself immune to all of her powers. At that point, he would hopefully somehow be able to teleport away or even just do something to notify others of his presence here.
