One day, I came home from school to find Sofia in the living room with a guy I've never seen before. She introduced him as her boyfriend Jake, but something about him didn't sit right with me. He had a menacing aura and kept eyeing me up and down like he was sizing me up for something.
"Hi there, little step-sis. You must be Lucia," he said, smirking.
I felt a shiver run down my spine. Something wasn't right about this guy, and I didn't like the way he was talking to me. I excused myself and went upstairs to my room, feeling uneasy.
As weeks went by, Sofia started acting even stranger. She stopped coming home altogether, and i got worried. I went to school the next day but i couldn't listen to what the teacher was saying my mind was so occupied about my family troubles and i was so confused about how a family that loved each other so much when they both had nothing and started from the scratch with so much love between them, before they where able to be successful. then what went wrong, why did dad's love for mum go ,why was he so sure mum was the cause of his problems, he didn't even bother to think about a woman go through think and thin for him, became his pillar of suffort and even when her family warned her not to marry him she still did. Could that woman plan his downfall like he claimed?.
well time to go home.My blood ran cold as I watched my sister in that strange ritual. I didn't know what was going on, but I knew it couldn't be good. I quickly took out my phone to call Dad, but there was no signal. I was on my own.
As the chanting continued, I noticed that some of the cult members were staring at me. I tried to look inconspicuous, but I knew they had already noticed me. Suddenly, one of them stood up and started walking towards me.
"Who are you?" he asked, looking at me with suspicion.
"I'm just here to find my sister," I replied, trying to keep my cool.
The man didn't seem convinced, but he let me go. I quickly made my way out of the building and called Dad as soon as I had a signal.
At first Dad didn't believe me and i just told him to rush here.
It didn't take long for Dad to gather a team of investigators and policemen, and we headed back to that shady part of town. But when we arrived at the building, it was empty. There was no sign of Sofia or any of the cult members. They had vanished into thin air.
Dad was furious and frustrated, he yelled and shouted at the investigators and the police officers and they left. He was left alone with me.
We walked back to the car and Dad collapsed into the driver's seat. He turned to me with a look of defeat etched on his face.
"I don't know what to do anymore," he said, his voice trembling. "We have no leads, no clues, nothing."
I could see the pain and worry in his eyes, and I felt helpless. We sat in silence for a few moments before I finally spoke up.
"Dad, we can't give up. We have to keep looking and searching. We can't let Sofia Chapter 8

Days turned into weeks, and Sofia remained missing. No one knew where she was or what she was doing. It was as if she had vanished into thin air. Dad was frantic with worry, and he spent all of his time putting up missing posters and searching through the streets. I, on the other hand, felt helpless and alone.
One day, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I started investigating on my own, questioning my classmates and anyone who might have seen Sofia recently. Eventually, my search led me to a shady part of town where I saw Sofia and Jake walking together. I followed them discreetly and watched as they went into a rundown building.
I knew I had to follow them inside and I did. What I saw shook me to my core - there were dozens of people inside, all dressed in black with strange symbols painted on their foreheads. In the center of the room stood a woman, who was chanting in a language I didn't understand. And there was Sofia, standing behind her with her eyes closed and a strange smile on her face. No this not happening this can't be my sister these words kept ringing in.
