Gone

Aaron was confused.

He had sounded the alarm at home, to friends, to security in the area and the police. Isabella and Michael had been gone for three days now. He was panicking. He almost cried, but he knew that he shouldn't allow fear to take control of him. Their loss was driving him crazy.

He did not know where else to look for them. Josh and Suzy were trying to help. Ellie and Zen had also been asking friends.

Where had the two gone?

"She said she was going to take the baby for some fresh air so she had him bundled up." Zen told Aaron.

"Why did you not go with her?" Aaron asked.

"She said she was okay, that we can do other things or maybe relax a little and that she wanted some fresh air, too."

"Where would she likely go?"

"I am not sure but I think they went towards that way," Zen was pointing to the lake.

The mention of the lake struck an intuitive chord to Josh. "What's in the lake?" he whispered to Suzy.

"Crazy brother, you know that there is nothing in that lake but water and fish. Mama and Michael will be home later on or tomorrow. She's not going to give up on us if she's going away. Do you think she can give up on you?"

"Yes. You're correct." Josh's face lit up. Aaron was more hopeful. "What are we going to do?" He asked his children.

"You can take us out for lunch since you are always not around. It's time that you make up for the lost time." Suzy pretended to be punishing her dad. She hugged and kissed him. Josh was looking at Aaron intently. He thought Aaron was the reason why his mother and baby Michael were gone.

They heard the gate creaked. Evan and Yuri came. David was opening the gate up.

"Dad, can they come with us?" Suzy asked Aaron, looking in the direction of Evan and Yuri whose car just entered the mansion.

Aaron looked at Suzy. It skipped him that Suzy had been fast becoming a young lady. He could see that she liked Yuri. Anyway, Josh was always with her. He was protective of his sister, he thought.

"Should we go?" Suzy asked her dad again. They needed to fill their empty stomach.

"Yes," was all that Aaron could say. He had a blank look on his face because Isabella and Michael were all that was in his head.
