Poor Spying Quality

Mu Qinzhe kept looking at the small creature in front of him with amusement. He couldn't help but scratched her ruffled hairs. They felt so smooth in his fingers.

Yao Siya, who was lost in thinking, came back to her senses when she felt long fingers through her hair. She lifted her eyes and met a pair of eternal dark orbs.

Her cheeks turned scarlet as the stupid heart of hers started to beat so loudly that even she could hear it. Her cherry lips trembled slightly.

She really wondered how Mu Qinzhe's mere gesture could affect her this much. She needed to make a move before the certain someone turned her mind hazy.

"Wh…who are you?" Yao Siya asked blinking her eyes. She looked scared rather than shocked after seeing him.

Mu Qinzhe stared at her for a while and then couldn't stop himself letting out a devilish chuckle. This little being in front of him was rather smart.

It was indeed true she didn't know his whereabouts but would eventually know. But she chose to attack first and landed it with perfection. 

Offense is definitely the best defense and his little vixen plus little scared lamb knew it pretty well. He wouldn't deny he momentarily let his guard down.

His gaze darkened upon looking at her innocent expression. He slightly leaned close to her and whispered in her ear with his deep husky voice, "Your husband to be."

Yao Siya froze on her spot widening her eyes but controlled herself in time. 

'This devil and his counterattack,' Yao Siya thought with anger and amusement. 

She was scared to death thinking her identity got exposed in front of Mu Qinzhe!!

Though there was a huge turmoil inside her, she hid it perfectly. She just blinked her eyes several times and pretended to be confused. 

Mu Qinzhe was quite enjoying her innocent expression. He was about to tease this little thing more, a loud rumble roared through the Hall Room. 

Yao Siya genuinely felt embarrassed this time. Her cheeks flushed, even her tips of ear and lips turned scarlet. 

Looking at her tomato-like little face, Mu Qinzhe's heart almost stopped beating. He quickly bent a little over and lifted her in princess style.

Due to a sudden change of position, Yao Siya caught her guards off and encircled her arms around Mu Qinzhe's neck out of her instincts. 

By the time she came to her senses, Mu Qinzhe already started to walk. Looking at Mu Qinzhe's side profile, Yao Siya wanted to curse but didn't know to whom.

She didn't know whether she should curse him for breaking all her defenses or curse herself for being defenseless in from of this particular person.

Still, Siya tried to protest, "I... I can w…walk."

Mu Qinzhe looked at her by the corner of his eyes and responded, "So I can carry you."

Yao Siya: "....." 'Waste of words.'

Yao Siya didn't try to protest anymore. She sighed and obediently curled into his embrace. 

But a certain fear inside her was increasing as time passed. She needed to get out of here before Mu Qinzhe turned her fear into reality. 

Mu Qinzhe was the only person who had the ability to see through her. It was better to stay away from him as far as possible. 

Mu Qinzhe could feel something was bothering the little thing in his arms. So, he tightened his grip on her waist and brought her closer to him.

Mu Qinzhe entered the dining area with Yao Siya and placed her on a chair. He sat beside her, took a spoonful of hangover soup, and said, "Say aaa…"

Yao Siya frowned a little and mumbled in displeasure, "N.. not a toddler."

She tried to grab the spoon but Mu Qinzhe was a little agile than her. He swiftly moved the spoon without spattering the soup.

He quite enjoyed her little anguish face. He chuckled and replied, "Of course because you are my 'Baby Girl' and I am going to pamper you. So, who are you to stop me, hmm?"

Yao Siya paused on her way as her eyes widened and her heart started to beat thousand times per minute. Her total being shook because of his teasing yet gentle voice. 

It was already hard for Yao Siya to keep her cool in front of Mu Qinzhe and here he was adding fuel to the fire. 

'Wasn't he always cold and unapproachable? Then where the hell he learned these cheeky words??' Yao Siya thought inwardly with pure agitation.

She composed herself as she turned and reached for another spoon from the cutlery set and responded a little indifferently, "W... who wants to be your b... baby girl?"

Thud… thud... thud...

Mu Qinzhe himself was dumbfounded. For the first time in his more than twenty years' life, he used these cheeky words but got rejected then and there.

He was about to open his mouth but halted because of some loud noises. He and Siya, who was about to drink the soup, both looked in the direction at the same time.

'Bunch of peeping Toms.' Mu Qinzhe wanted to curse out loud but he held back lest it would leave bad impression of him to her.

Yao Siya was speechless. '...Should I refer this as "Poor spying quality"?'

She wanted to say something but nothing came to her brain.

It was good that Siya didn't think out loud. Otherwise, these "Peeping Toms" would have a great fall again.

Initially, Mu Qinghai and Mu Wei Wei wanted to observe the situation between their brother and Sister-in-law. They added Ling Ye Ming as a backup if they got caught.

The curious lots hid behind the dining area's door and tried to eavesdrop on Mu Qinzhe and Yao Siya's conversation.

But the aromas of delicious food were too hard to resist. Before they knew it, the fragrance brought them closer to the dining area.

Who knew their sister-in-law would reject their brother then and there? All of them including Ling Ye Ming were caught off guard and fell a heavy fall.

When they got up, they met with Mu Qinzhe's chillingly cold eyes. Mu Wei Wei laughed a little awkwardly, "Sister-in-law, don't mind us. We are just casually here."

"Pfttttt..." Yao Siya almost choked out the soup she just put in her mouth. She wasn't ready for this huge blow.

Mu Qinzhe, who was initially cold, controlled himself (not to scare his 'fragile' baby girl) and handed a glass of water to his 'Baby Girl', and patted her head a little. 

Yao Siya accepted the water and drunk it. With an innocent look, she tried to deny Mu Wei Wei, "No… no… I..I'm not what you think, Ms.. "

Mu Wei Wei hurriedly replied, "Sister-in-law, call me Wei Wei. Kick those formalities out."

Yao Siya almost twisted her face. This Mu Qinzhe and Mu Wei Wei pair were indeed biological siblings. Trying to convince them was simply a "Waste of Efforts".

She was about to focus on food, three pairs of puppy eyes looked at her with anticipation. She didn't have a choice but to ask, "W...why a...aren't you joining us?'

It took the trio less than a second to sit for breakfast as if they were waiting for her invitation. When they looked at her, their eyes were beaming with gratitude and jubilant.

Yao Siya frowned a little in confusion. This was clearly Mu Family Mansion. This trio didn't need an invitation from an outsider like her for breakfast, right…?

Mu Qinghai, who almost kowtowed Yao Siya, gave his brightest smile at her and told, "Sister-in-law, we were about to join but..." stopped feeling a stream of chill through his backbone.

Ling Ye Ming was too delighted (for food) to hold back and added more fuel, "Sister-in-law, don't mind him. He is childish ever since he was born."

'When did these fellows become this much annoying? They are getting on my nerves.' Yao Siya could feel a strong urge to kill these unreasonably annoying fellows inside her.
