The Contract

"This is the contract you signed five years ago Marie," he said.

I was scared. Yes, I signed it. But why did he bring that up again?

"Wh... Why did you bring it?" I asked him.

"It has your signatures and you're obliged to follow it," he said.

"So... You're here to threaten me right? Adrian maybe this contract was signed by me but remember this that the Marie you married is dead for the world" I said.

"But she's not dead for me because you're standing in front of me. And I'm not here to threaten you either. See the contact last page" he said.

I slowly opened the contract and the last page.

"Contract Termination" the heading read. One page was attached too.

"Divorce agreement," it said.

"What's this?" I asked him.

"I want you to terminate this contract," he said.

"Adrian for everyone in this world, the Marie that married you is dead. They don't know that I'm the one. Now, who are you gonna divorce with? A dead person?" I asked with tears in my eyes.
