Chapter 20: Money

I woke up in a hospital bed. The soft mattress and blankets were warm against my skin. This time I was actually in a hospital. I slowly sat up and noticed I had a drip in my wrist once again. I looked at my arm, it had a bandage wrapped over where I was shot. I pulled the blanket off, even my thigh was bandaged. I had on a hospital gown and I was clean. I even felt so much better.

Someone cleared their throat next to me and I looked in that direction. Mr Nova sat on a chair against the wall. Prince Tay was on another chair while Taylen sat on the floor with his head against that chair. Both of them were asleep. I noticed they too were clean and Prince Tay had changed clothes.

"We asked to shower. The Prince got those clothes from lost property, which took a lot of convincing for him to change." Mr Nova explained.

"Oh. What did the doctor say?" I asked and pulled up the blanket. I only had the gown on.
