Prologue

I was running... running while tears are falling from eyes.

I can't believe she did that to me. She is the only hope I have left even when we just met but... she let me down. It's all just a lie.

I stopped at a place I didn’t know where but I found a chair so I sat down immediately. I am so tired. I am tired of running and my eyes and heart are tired too.

I already know it. I know that those moment I saw those stares of him to her, I already know but... I just want him to know how I feel. I just want him to know even if he rejects me...

"Why are you crying, dear one?" whispered a voice.

I was surprised and raised my head to look around but I didn’t see anyone. W-was that my imagination?

"Your eyes are wet darling. What happened?" that same voice asked so I was surprised and realized I didn't imagine that.

"Sino ka? I mean, who are you?" I asked while looking around just to find the speaker.

"Don't be scared my dear. I'm not here to hurt you."

"Where are you? Why can't I see you?" and still looking for him around me.

"You don't need to see me. All you need is to listen and I will also listen to you... always..."

The moment he said that, I stopped looking. His voice is so calm that I managed to calm down too.

"So what happened dear one?" he asked.

I just bowed down my head and felt the edge of crying again.

"I was rejected."

He paused. "Really?" he suddenly said. "Are you sure about that?"

I stopped and raised my head. "How did you—"

"My dear…" he interrupted. "...you didn't even say anything to him so how sure are you that he rejected you?"

I was speechless and continued to cry. "I just want to say what I feel about him," I just said.

"I see," after he said that, somehow even though I could not see him, I felt something that sent chills to my spine.

"I can help you," he suddenly proposed to my surprise. "I can make that happen."

"How?" I simply asked.

After I asked that, I feel like he is smiling back at me... or more like he's smirking.

"All you need is this certain someone..." he answered and then a picture float down to me that I don’t know where it came from so I quickly caught it.

"Just tell them to look for him... and the rest will be according to plan."

**

One day, I used to be a girl who just went to school like a normal student that I should be... but no, my life was not normal back then. I live alone and I have the power to control elements so how did that become normal? It's good to have a place like this...

Eullenuum Nation, the place where I really belong.

There are many other people out there like me who felt like they don’t belong to the place where they are so as a princess, I want to make them feel that whoever they are, there is a place for them. I want to make them feel that they belong and that is my mission.

They said that I am the only one with an ability like this. Is that true? It's already been months since I became the princess of this nation and so far, I have never met anyone like me.

I am now in the office, writing and stamping papers. It’s such a tough job. Every concern and issue about this place is given to me. It's a good thing I really thought of getting new princesses together with the princes so I'm not alone.

But the princes are not here right now because they went to get a new individual. They don’t know what element he can control but they always say that whenever they will get someone, they always have a picture with them... well thanks to our Air Prince, Turuki who is a professional photographer.

Not long enough when there was a knock on my door.

"Come in," I said.

It opened and the ice prince, Jethro, appeared. "Good morning, Princess Yani," he greeted with a smile.

I just sighed, looked at him and gave him a smile. "Good morning too Jethro. What can I do for you?" I asked formally.

"He is here," was his formal answer.

I was a little surprised. "Ah. The new guy or girl?" I asked.

"He is a guy and he is a Filipino," he replied.

"Okay. So what element does he control?"

He was silent for a moment before speaking. "We're not sure because he doesn't talk much."

"Why? Isn't it obvious on how he looks?" I wonder in question.

He looked down and sighed.

"His hair and eyes are black and we think, he’s just like you," he replied.

"If that’s the case, then he might be a metal guy—"

"No, dear princess," he interrupted. "I mean just like you, he can also control all the elements."
