He Ignored Her

THE NEXT DAY.

Yuki woke up a bit late that morning. To be fair. She always woke up late back in the Gilramore Castle because of her extensive research on the Warlock's journal the night before. But today was worse. Yuki rose from the unfamiliar bed with a minor headache. Her body ached, and she felt exhausted even though she just awoke. And when Yuki touched her forehead, it was warm. Did she catch a fever? No way.

Then Yuki went to the glass window. The sky was clearing up after a long time of rain. Maybe the rain just stopped because once she looked at the blue sky, there was a beautiful rainbow on the horizon and some little raindrops on the glass. That's good and nice. But waking up alone was not. She had trouble sleeping last night because she had gotten used to being embraced by her husband while sleeping. And Damien used to pat her back when she had a bad dream and smoothed her hair to calm her down.
