LETTER FROM ANNABELLE

"There's a letter from Queen Annabelle," William said as he entered his room. He saw Catherine combing her beautiful, wavy hair.

"A letter for me?" she asked.

"For both of us," William answered.

"Both of us? What's in it?" Catherine asked again, surprised by the letter Annabelle had sent to herself and William.

"Read it for yourself!" said William, who then handed the letter to Catherine.

Catherine also received the letter and opened the stamp. As Catherine read it, William walked to the window, and his eyes fixed on a night outside the palace. His mind drifted somewhere. He began to wonder, if he had not drunk and defiled Catherine if it had not been Catherine who had come to marry him, had he not been rash in marrying Catherine, then Catherine would not have been hurt by this marriage. Moreover, the contents of the letter from Annabelle would surely make Catherine even more hurt.
