Landon's whole body went numb at the revelation. The prince had known from the start that he was lying and that he was not female. His soul trembled with fear.
Ryker observed his reaction keenly. He walked to the male and held his shoulders, Landon looked up at him. He smiled, taking a small round object out of his pocket he flashed it right in Landon's face and moved back.
Landon was dazed for a few seconds before becoming stable.
"What am I doing here?" he asked the royal adviser holding his head.
"We were just out for a walk. Let's go," he said and started heading back.
Landon followed him quietly having the feeling that he was forgetting something very important. But however hard he tried he couldn't pinpoint why he was feeling that way or what he could be forgetting.
"Did we talk at all during this walk?" he asked him.
Ryker stopped in his tracks and turned to face him, his face was all smiling. "Yes but it was mostly you complaining and me listening. I said no word to interrupt the future queen of Arcadia," he said and bowed his head to Landon as a good servant would.
Landon had a feeling in his gut that there was more to what the royal adviser was saying than what he let out. But he refrained from asking more. They continued walking back to the others. By the time they got back, the others were still fast asleep.
Landon took a seat far away from them, his eyes staring at the merciless prince. He felt conflicted watching him sleep. He looked calmer than still water and had an aura of an angel that descended from heaven but he was not to be fooled he had seen the monster that laid asleep inside the prince.
He froze when the prince opened his eyes and looked at him. He expected a glare from the handsome beast but it never came, his eyes just looked at him with no malice or affection. It surprised me as there was never a time that he didn't display his loathing for him.
He closed his eyes and pinched his arm to wake from the dream. When he opened his eyes again he was still staring at him.
"Are you awake your holy highness?" they all heard and turned to the fourth male.
"What did you just say?" Ryker asked not sure he had it properly. "How foolish can you be to link him and holy in the same sentence?" he asked in disbelief.
"Why, if he isn't the holiest being then who is?" the man asked and all the men went wide with surprise. The prince stood up from the ground and started walking, his head was hurting from having to listen to the idiots that surrounded him.
"You call that holy. He doesn't even have any manners let alone any concern for others," the adviser stated as they walked behind the prince.
The blue-haired man turned around. His eyes met with Landon's eyes. He looked at him up and down and turned back to Ryker.
"Who is she?"
"His bride," Ryker said pointing at the prince.
"Where are we?" Zaugustus questioned finding nothing in the area that could tell him where they were.
"In the land that shall not be named," Ryker whispered sadly.
Zaugustus, the prince, and the man stopped on hearing what the royal adviser said. The prince turned around and gave his attention to Landon. Landon froze out of fear, he could feel the tension in the air and the change in everyone's mood. The prince's aura went from angelic to demonic in just one minute.
In just a second he had moved from where he was and was now standing before Landon. "Why are you hellbound on making life hard for yourself?" he asked him. His voice is thick and ice cold.
"Wh..what ha..have I d..done?" he asked nervously.
The prince took him by his neck and released his wings and flew to the sky. His strong hand crushing Landon's neck making it hard for him to breathe. Landon struggled in his arms and tried to get free from him but was also hoping he wouldn't let go. From how far off the ground the two of them were.
"I hate you," the prince said. Landon looked him in the eye, his eyes filled with tears. He wasn't even aware of why the prince was so angry and yet he was being punished. The pain in his heart from his words hurt more than the lack of oxygen in his lungs. The prince let him go and watched him fall to the ground. His eyes bore nothing but pure hatred for Landon.
Ryker released his wings and flew up and caught Landon before he could come to any harm. He brought him down to the ground gently but the prince was not happy with his act of heroism.
He came at the speed of lightning and pushed his hand right through Landon's chest. Landon drew a long breath, his tears flowing down his eyes from the pain. He looked at the prince with disbelief and the prince clenched his heart. His eyes were dark with killing intent.
"Stop," the blue-haired man said placing his hand on the prince's hand. "He didn't mean it. Let him go," he said.
The prince calmed down and let Landon go without reaping his heart out. He wiped his hand clean of any trace of blood and backed away. "Let's go for a walk," the man suggested taking the prince away.
Ryker caught Landon in his arms and Zaugustus brought a crystal to his chest. The crystal lit up and healed Landon's wound and in just a few minutes it was as though he was never harmed.
"That prince is crazy. Someone needs to end his life before he kills everyone around him for fun," Landon said angrily after he was treated.
"It's not his fault he reacted that way. Like his future wife, it is important to know this. This land in the whole of Attilan is the one place the prince can't stand to be in. It has memories that he would rather have never existed, that is why it was locked away here where no one can ever come to."
"Is that a reason for him to try to kill me? If he didn't want to be here then he shouldn't have come here," Landon said.
"He came here to save you, if you hadn't come here none of us would have either. Attilan is a very dangerous place. I would advise you not to run away again," Ryker told to him.
