Landon was scared. He had no idea what a Celestial Confessor was or why his hand was in so much pain. He stared at the prince not breaking his gaze, though he deserved it, he hated the look the prince bore in his face for him.
The prince was smiling at his misery and it pained his heart, he was confused as to whether to be happy that he got to see him smile or sad that he only smiled because of his pain.
"Why are you looking at me like that," the prince asked getting an uncomfortable feeling in his heart. It hurt him to see the pain in Landon's eyes so he turned away from him.
"What does it mean to be a Celestial confessor?" Landon managed to ask.
"I am not your adviser to answer all your questions," he said. "Get ready. We have a coronation to attend," he said stepping away from Landon.
The feeling in his heart was something that he didn't like to be there. 'I should only care for Sly,' he thought.
Landon felt bad when he stepped away, he didn't like having the prince so far away from him. And he hated it when he turned his back to him and moved on to someone else.
He subconsciously moved forward and embraced the prince from the back. He wrapped his hands around Theo's chest and laid his head on his back and let the tears he had been holding back fall.
The sudden contact made the prince's heart skip a beat before it started thundering in his chest. He froze in place unable to move or push Landon away from him. He bit his lower lip fighting the urge of reaching out his hands to hold Landon and keep him there forever.
"I'm sorry," he heard Landon say in a pained voice and felt a pang in his heart. It pained him to hear the pain in the make's voice but he refused to admit whatever his heart was trying to tell him.
He had only one wish and that was to bring Sly back to him and forget all about Landon but destiny had other plans. And even his heart was betraying him and having affections for the demon in an angel's dress embracing him.
Landon's eyes were clouded with tears and his heart was broken. Despite being heartbroken so many times it still felt like there was more of it to break with the prince's actions.
He broke the hug causing the prince to frown. Feeling his hand withdraw from his body made him feel as though a piece of him has left him.
Landon raised his eyes, held the Prince's shoulder, and spun him around. The Prince obliged and turned around. He has n control of his body, his heart was racing in his heart in anticipation of what was to come.
He held his breath and waited to see what the male intended to do. "I'm sorry," Landon apologized and locked their lips together.
The prince stood motionless with his beating so loud that he couldn't make out any more sounds. Landon's kiss was soft and filled with so many emotions. It overwhelmed him how he could feel so much of the male with just one kiss.
He involuntarily slipped his hands to Landon's back and hugged him, pulling him closer to him. He didn't deepen the kiss or try to dominate the male, he just let Landon do with him as he pleased.
"Theo," they both heard from behind them. The voice was like ice-cold water poured on the prince, his heart dropped and crashed into a million pieces in his chest.
He let go of Landon and turned around, Landon wiped his tears and looked past the prince. His eyes widen in shock when he saw who it was that was standing by the door.
"I didn't mean to interrupt. Forgive me," Sly said humbly and closed the door to the room.
The prince had never once heard Herman being polite or humble with anyone but him. To see the state that he had reduced his merphix to made his heartache.
"Get dressed," he ordered his voice becoming ice cold before walking out the door. He got to the corridor and found Sly still leaning on the wall. Her face bore no emotion to reveal how he was feeling.
"Merphix," he called out sweetly to him. Sly remained unmoved, he didn't open his eyes or respond to him.
"What did I just walk in on?" Sly asked him.
"It was nothing. Tell me, why are you here?" the prince asked trying to change the topic.
"Nothing," Sly scoffed and opened his eyes. He looked at the prince with rage in his eyes. "He was naked and you were embracing him. It seemed to me like the two of you were about to consummate your marriage," he added.
"I..no we...I..we," Theo stammered unable to explain it. It was true that he embraced Landon but he had no intention of being intimate with or maybe he didn't think he wanted to. He wasn't sure what he wanted, he was unsure if he would have stopped it if the matter did go that far.
"You are stuttering. You used to only do that with me but I guess you have no problem giving my right to another person," he said angrily. "You disgust me," he added.
"Mind your tongue," he heard Landon yell from the door. He averted his gaze from the prince and gazed at the human daring enough to raise his voice to him. "Mind how you speak to the prince and the future king," he said.
He was listening to their talks, it irked him to hear the merman speak to the prince however he felt like. Just because the prince cared for him.
"And you should mind your place human. You are nothing but a pest in this kingdom so don't you dare try to teach me manners," he said before a harsh slap landed on his cheek.
Sly raised his head and glared at Landon. "You should show some respect to the future first Zahra of Arcadia," he said to him. "You might be the prince's wife but mind you, I won't let you teach me how to speak to my husband," he added.
