Festival day one (part four)

Sly stood before the court, his silence created suspense in the room. All were curious about what he was going to say next.

He was in no hurry to speak. He took his time to gather the looks on everyone's faces, his personal favourite was the face of the female who had gotten them into that mess in the first place.

He enjoyed to watch how with each passing minute, she got nervous and curious. Her face looked calm but her heartbeat was racing faster than a windmill during a windy day.

"First of all," he finally spoke after fifty three minutes of silence. "I would like to start off by defending Ara of the charges made against her," he added.

His words sent shock to all that were present in the court room. Even the accused did not believe that they heard him right. Ryker, Zaugustus, Landon and Ara all wore surprised faces.
