In the darkness

The needles were getting closer and closer. Captain Udo was ahead of all three of them.

Just when the needles were about twenty yards away Captain Udo snapped his fingers and all of the needles went back to the army.

While Frost was running next to Xavier, he looked in amazement.

He force of Captain Udo's snap sent the needles right back.

"Let's hope I didn't hit any of the children." Captain Udo said.

(There's more to it then just the snap of his fingers. I'm that very second, Captain used his energy and out it into the snap. I even heard it can go through space it self or time." Jerome thought to himself.

Jade and Dante were in the air.

"Hey. What's that?" Dante asked.

Jade squinted her eyes.

Her eyes then opens wide.

"All warriors take cover." Jade yelled.

Jade and Dante looked down to see half of their armies all ready on the ground dead and wounded.

Jade and Dante looked done on their people. They noticed some tried to stop and help the others.

"Don't you dare stop." Jade yelled.

The people looked up and then kept moving. Leaving the others wounded or to die.

"Did we really have to bring the kids along with us?" Dante asked jade.

Jade turned around and looked at Dante.

"I can't deny an preset from…him, and you know that." Jade said.

Dante nodded in agreement.

Dante then stepped forward and stood beside Jade.

"We both know the real threat here is that Jerome guy, and then Udo. That's one reason why we are attacking now…because at night Jerome's reaper is at it peak in strength." Dante said.

"But when's I be it's morning…that should be no problem. Now with Udo…we need to be very careful, he is nothing to play with."

Jade and the army were still approaching. Getting closer, and closer to the clan.

Udo could now see Jade and Dante in clear sight.

"Hey, Frost. Make a wall with that ice will you?" Udo asked.

Frost stepped in front of everyone. Blue aura started forming around hi body.

Frost opened his eyes, took off the brace knuckles and swung a punch to the right. When he did so there was a huge amount of ice. It looked like an ice berg.

Udo jumped to the top of it.

"You all will fight to people below on ground. I'll take care of these two." Udo said.

Udo kicked off the end piece of the ice where he was standing and it took off towards Dante, and Jade.

"Jerome. What do we do about the kids attacking?" Frost asked.

Jerome looked at Frost in an annoyed way.

"If they try to take your freedom….don't hesitate to take theirs."

Frost had a disgusted look on his face. And before he could get anything out, Jerome as already headed towards the army. Way far from the clan.

The army was at least 8 football fields away.

"Xavier give him some cover. I'll be right back." Frost said.

Xavier gave Frost a little nod. Then made his way to some high ground.

Jerome was running straight at the army.

"There army doesn't even have anyone from our race….just a lot of killers, and kids…." Jerome said.

Jerome started to smile hard.

"Good people fighting in wars? such as kids. Hahaha. I love it."

Jerome pulled out his blade and started fighting off the army. Some people ran past him while others stayed put and tried to jump him.

Jerome was killing one by one, even the kids.

Xavier had a look with pain in his eyes.

He saw hundreds of men,women, and kids charging at the clan's fallen gate.

"I'm so sorry.." Xavier said.

He grabbed an arrow and pointed it at the closets person to the gate.

It was a girl. Who looked to be ten or eleven in age.

(Please step back….don't make me do this). Xavier started pulling the bow back.

Xavier had tears falling from his eyes as he released the arrow.

It went straight into the little girl's head.

Xavier then pulled out another arrow and shot another one, another, another, and another.

(This is so painful). He thought to himself.

Tears were everywhere on his face.

Meanwhile in the air.

Captain Udo was still headed right for Dante and Jade.

He made it into view. He could now see them clear as day.

When he was about to jump off. Captain Udo felt something.

All of a sudden he felt punches on his stomach. But no one was moving.

Jade glared at Udo and it had so much force it hit Udo in the stomach.

Captain Udo fell off the ice he was using to travel in the air and plummeted to the ground.

The ice that he fell off of kept coming at Dante and Jade. But Jade just stood right in front of it and it broke into pieces.

Dante and Jade laughed and then kept on heading towards the clan.

Dante's heart froze when he heard someone else laughing behind him.

Dante turned his head to see Udo with both of his swords out.

"When the hell did you- oh I see….I almost forgot were up against Captain Udo." Dante said.

Udo started to stretch. Then he asked them both questions.

"So why in the hell are there kids fighting with you guys? And oh by the way Jade, we had nothin to do with your father's death." Captain Udo said.

Jade and Dante said nothing.

Jade stomped her left foot and the piece of Jade's air craft made from trees, broke a piece were Captain Udo was standing.

"You handle him…. I'm going to kill everything in this clan. Jade said.

Dante smiled and jumped on to Captain Udo's piece.

Udo could see Jade disappearing from his view now. She was getting closer and closer to the clan.

"Well My old friend….let's see who comes out on top, yea?" Dante asked.

Udo said nothing and got his swords ready.

Dante clapped his hands. All Udo could see now was darkness. Nothing else.

"Welcome to my world… full of darkness." Dante said.

Udo looked around. There was nothing but dark.

"Where the hell are we?" Udo asked.

Dante laughed.

"This is my power, you fool. You see once you look my in my eyes. The power is activated. Anything can spawn here until I feel the need you've had enough or until your dead." Dante said.

Udo looked around, trying to study it. As if there was stuff to study.

He tapped his foot. And took in a deep breath.

(I can still feel the hard ground I was standing on. I can also feel the fresh air. Is this all just an illusion? No it can't be. He said he can spawn…spawn what exactly? Anything he thinks?). Udo thought to himself.

Udo felt hands grab on to his ankles. He couldn't move.

"What the hell?" Udo said.

He looked straight to see that Dante had disappeared into the darkness.

"Don't you get it Udo? This is my world. Anything that I want to happen or think. It becomes my reality." Dante said.

Udo tried to move his legs but he couldn't.

Udo looked down and flexed his arms. Around him there was a lot of wind blowing that pushed the hands off.

Dante came from the bottom of the darkness and took a swip at Udo with his axe.

Udo used his energy to freeze time for a split second and dodged Dante's attack.

Dante looked in confusion. W-what was that?" Dante asked.

Udo did a backflip in the air and flipped his head up. Dante quickly used the darkness around him and created a shield. The shield shattered to pieces.

"Don't you get it Udo. This is my world. I can create anything I want, even become anything I want. My power is infinity here." Dante said.

Captain Udo smacked his lips.

Dante could feel pain on the left side of his face. It felt as though he had just been slapped.

Dante fell. Then got back up. Udo was no where to be found.

Dante closed his eyes. "All seeing eye", Dante said.

A huge eyeball formed above him. It was huge.

Through it he could see Udo moving right towards him.

Dante turned around and reached with his arm. It turned into a snake that lunged at Udo's face.

Udo snapped his finger again and Dante flew back.

Dante quickly got up. Before he could make any other moves Udo slashed him on his face.

Dante's eyeball was now on the ground.

Dante just say there laughing. Udo looked in surprise as he saw Dante's face healing up.

This time he had symbols on the side of his face. And one side was bigger then the other.

"What the hell?" Udo said.

Dante ran at Udo. This time even faster.

Udo backed off. He tried turning around and running but before he could take off. Dante was already in front of his face.

Udo clapped his hands Together and was now a couple feet away from Dante.

(I need a way out of this world or whatever. I'm here he can get as strong as he wants,regenerate,get faster, and stronger. This is some bullshit). Udo thought to himself.

Dante stopped walking towards Udo.

"Don't you get it? In this world. Everything is what I want, as the world should be for many of us." Dante said.

"Everything you could ever have is her, Udo. just let me seal you here and you can be happy on your own here. You can even bring your children and wife back." Dante said.

Udo sat in silence and said nothing, just looked at Dante.

"I wouldn't want that." Udo said.

Dante had a confused look on his face." What do you mean? Do you not understand you can have all you want here?" Dante asked.

"Oh I get it. But it's all not real. Like for example…with this power of yours. It's not real at all. Just like life, a lot of people have their own dreams or whatever. Some of them come true. But others dream, have fantasies. Everyone in this life has fantasies and reality." Udo said.

"But with your power….you make it almost real…which is nice and all, but in the real world…your weak without it." Udo said.

Dante looked in anger after hearing what Udo said.

"Everyone's fantasies have meaning…and I'll show you that by killing you." Dante said.

Udo asked towards Dante.

"Time to send you back to the real world." Udo said.

Dante laughed and went into the darkness. When he reappeared there were multiple of him.

They all came at Udo in every direction, but he quickly cut them down.

When Udo made it to the real body, he started to swing his swords violently at Dante.

Dante was allowing him self to get hit.

But he just laughed the whole time. As he was getting cut to pieces.

Udo even cut off Dante's left hand. It regenerated and was way bigger then last time.

The rest of his body that got cut did the same.

(Every time I cut him, the area were I cut him. The area that's wounded comes back stronger…and he's also getting bigger in size). Udo thought to himself.

Dante was now around seven foot tall, huge muscles,and darkness on his body. He looked like some crazy monster.

Dante used some of the darkness around him and created a tail.

He swung it at Udo.

Udo clapped his hands again. This time he was behind Dante after clapping his hands. But thanks to the faint eye above them. Dante saw it coming.

Dante turned around quickly and swung his axe and Udo. Udo dodged it.

Udo jumped back.

As soon as he did. A giant hand came from behind him in the darkness and tried to grab him.

Udo looked back and forced his eyes wide open.

The hand shattered apart.

Dante startu getting annoyed. Dante then started multiplying again. This time all of them were bigger. And distorted like Dante's actual body.

Udo dodged all of their attacks.

He could feel himself starting to get more and more tired as he dodged.

But then something caught his eye.

Dante used some of the darkness around him and the clones. He then put them all inside of him.

What popped out had Udo in shock.

It was his seven kids and his wife.

They all ran over. Udo just stood there in shock.

His children hugged him tight.

His wife was smiling hard at him.

"Dad…why did you let us die?" His daughter asked.

The darkness now turned into blood. There was blood everywhere,his kids covered in it. Along with his wife.

"Why…why did you let him kill us?" Another one of his children asked.

A huge black hole opened up and Udo fell inside of it.

Udo was now hugging his wife, right in his arms.

He was re living the moment where his family got killed right before his eyes.

Udo just sat there and watched the Unfold.

Udo hugged his wife and he noticed the dark energy coming from her. He had it in his hands and then hugged her again.

Udo shoved his wife off of him and held both of his hands above his head.

He gathered up all of the energy from himself into a giant ball.

He could see the event still going on. His wife's face changed into Dante's face.

Udo then managed to grab the darkness around him and made a giant ball of energy from it also.

"I won't let this stop me from killing you. I know this isn't my real family….but it was nice to see their faces again after all this time." Udo said.

Dante looked in anger.

Thousands of hands from the darkness came out and were all headed right for Udo.

"First contract,First signing: amplification simpler combination." Udo said.

Dante looked in shock. The hands started coming faster at Udo now.

Udo used both of the balls and started to move them together.

The hands were getting closer and closer.

Udo then put the balls of energy together and made one of his own.

It was now half white and dark.

"Here it comes." Udo yelled.

As soon as Udo felt a hand touch him. He slammed the energy into the bottom of the dark world.

The world around him started to disappear.

Both of them were now in the real world.

"Damn it. When the hell could you erase powers?" Dante said.

Udo smiled. "Well. I wasn't even at full power to begin with. You see. When I noticed that the world we were in was all energy. I figured well damn. Let me just grab it." Udo said.

Dante had anger in his eyes. "That's not possible. You can't just grab something that's not physical." He said.

Udo walked towards him. "Well, that's the thing….I can make anything possible. I'm Captain Udo, of the Kani clan. Udo said.

Dante had a defeated look on his face.

"But my power…". Dante said.

Udo pulled a sword out from his side.

"Well that's the thing Dante. You've gotten so lost in your owl illusion of a world that you've become almost nonexistent in this one. Instead of you trying to make that power into reality you, you'd rather stay that way." Udo said.

Dante stood up and charged at Udo with his axe.

"Forgive me….old friend."

In a blink of an eye Udo was already behind Dante.

Dante looked around and felt nothing at all. So he then turned around and charged at Udo again.

Udo closed his eyes, then put his blade back into its holder.

As soon as he did Dante's body split in half.

Udo turned around and looked with sadness on in his eyes.

"I know you like that world because you could have been anything….in the end Dante….reality differs from an illusion. Unless you try to make that illusion come true." Dante said.

Dante turned around and was about to jump off and head towards Jade now.

But he heard breathing behind him.

It was Dante's breathing.

"If your like me…then you'll know that illusions and reality are the same damn thing. We all live in a fantasy….weather you like it or not, I've bought my powers to the real world. The past was an illusion, the present is, and the future….this world is shut Udo." Dante said.

Udo said nothing. He just jumped off and was headed straight for Jade.

Dante sat there as he was bleeding out.

Dante looked up in the sky. He could see his mother and father.

"Who's weak now?" Dante said.

He laughed and kept laughing. Until his last breath came.

He was dead on the rock. With a smile on his face also.

Dante was now dead.
