Restoration

When you love someone you protect them from pain you don't become the cause of it.......

Minerva McGongall has been sitting in the chair of her office as headmistress and is looking towards a eighteen year old boy in front of her. The boy is pale with blond hairs and is staring at his lap.

" Mr. Malfoy I just want to know how you blocked all the curses "

" I...I don't know professor, I thought one of you cast the shield charm around me but if that is not the case then———"

With that he trailed off but the meaning of his words were cleared that he didn't know how the curses were unable to touch him. She stared at him for some time trying to solved the mystery that is infront of her. She has to admit that the boy is looking extremely gorgeous in the dark blue shirt that he is wearing. It is perfectly contrasting with his eyes and skin colour. But there is also something else about the boy that she is unable to comprehend.

" All right! I will believe you and not ask anything else about the matter"

The boy nodded but said nothing. She stared at the boy for a moment before sighing and standing up.

" i have to go and do something and I will ask some house elf to bring you something to eat here after all you missed your breakfast and when I will come back I will inform you about the work you have to do today for your probation, so I ask you to remain here after finishing your breakfast"

Last part was said in questioning voice and The boy again nodded but said nothing. She sighed again, this boy going to be a lot more difficult this year,and summoned a house elf and ask to bring some food for the boy and existed from her office and made her way towards the staff room leaving the boy behind.

She entered the room and was instantly bombard with the questions.

" Minevra did you find something?"

" Did the boy told you anything?"

" I never saw something so beautiful and powerful, what was it?"

She just raised her hand and all the people fell into silence.

" no, I did not find anything neither he knew what it was. He thought one of us did it and doesn't know how it happened. But I have to agree what ever was it, it was extremely powerful to block such types of heavy and powerful curses all at—"

" Minerva do you think the boy is lying? Or doing anything extremely dangerous?"

Colonel Hans Landa ( Does it remind you of something?🤐 ) the new Defence against the dark art professor spoke in a sugary sweet voice . ( Shudders😖 I hate sugary sweet voices. Remind me why all the DADA professors has to be dark? )

Minerva look towards the professor with a cool stare and said

" I believe that Mr Malfoy has no reason for lying or doing something extremely dangerous. He was just a child a small boy who had no choice of his own in life. Beside I am quite sure he has changed given my the past day's interaction with the boy. I think it will be good if we all looked passed the past"

She let her words stay in the air for a moment before turning towards Hagrid.

" Hagrid I believe you are going to go to do field work in the forest?"

On his nod of confirmation she continued and said

" I want you to take Mr Malfoy with you for his probation work today."

Again the giant nodded his head. Then she turned towards the other staff and addressed them.

" Now as you all know that the term is starting in 6 weeks we need to fast the restoration process. Professor sprout and Firenze how are green houses processing? And professor flitwick I am hoping that the classrooms are as ready as they should be? And I assume professor hooch the construction of grounds for quidditch is to be almost complete? Horace and filch I Am hoping that the common rooms storation is also almost done?"

" Greenhouses are almost restored Minerva just a few plants and herbs that take long time and magic to adapt are left which will be done before the start of term." Replied sprout and Firenze nodded.

" important classes are all fully restored and now I along with some children are restoring some additional classes." Responded Felius Flitwick.

" yes, yes grounds are fully restored for playing, Harry and some even played yesterday as a celebration of having it back. And now we are restoring the locker rooms." Answered professor hooch.

" the common rooms and sleeping area's are ready and me and filch were thinking of making an extra compartment of household for our coming eight years." Responded Horace.

Minerva nodded in satisfaction on all the answers and turned towards Horace and filch.

" I think that's an wonderful idea Horace. You should start doing it.Now as it has been cleared I should leave you all to your day activities." With that said she turned towards the door but stoped, she nearly forgot about the boy.

" and Hagrid the boy will meet you at the front doors."

With that said she again turned and walked out of the staff room towards her office.

Harry Potter with his friends is sitting on the grounds of quidditch which they have stored recently. They all thinking of the same thing ,the breakfast incidence.

First of all it was a surprise to see Draco Malfoy entering the great hall looking all but mighty with his glorious lookes and attitude with which he held his head high. It was infuriating that after everything the prat was still same. And then the way no curse was able to touch him was also somewhat of a surprise and suspicious after all his hawthorn wand was still with me which is resting(forgotten) in my luggage. I wonder how he was able to block all the spells without a wand. I have to investigate it.

His musings were interrupted by Ron who was complaining about the unfairness done to him.

" seriously 'mione it is so bloody unfair that I get not just one but two detentions even the school term is not started while the git get all the sympathy. I am sure I will be doing ground work for the whole night"

" it was your own fault Ron for cutting prof.McGongall like that. Even after seven years you still didn't learn not to talk back when any teacher especially McGongall is talking . And for doing ground work for whole night that is not really difficult as we are doing that at the moment too and for past two months ."

" But that is so difficult then to get detention for stating truth. You shouldn't have set him free Harry" Ron turned towards me.

" you know Ron I just did it because it felt right." I replied unsurely.

" don't worry Harry you did the right thing ." Harmione said while smiling towards me. Ron just huffed and continued his complains and I turn to look at the sky again. The term will start in a month and we will be continuing our study as eight years. I just can't wait to start another year. I just hope it will be a normal year after all Voldemort is gone and my life is peaceful. After the war I was distress at first, I blamed myself for all the deaths but the support of my friends and family helped me pass the war trauma and now I am happy to be alive and have another year. Just hope it will be normal.
