Chapter 20

"So, he actually ignored the question and stormed off the room?" Grace asked Aiden the same question for the fifth time as she sat next to me on my bed.

"Yes baby, that's exactly what I am telling you from past half an hour." Aiden said as he stood leaning against the wall.

Grace and Aiden are really trying to help me. But I feel bad for them as they are getting married in next few days and here, they are busy trying to solve my problem instead of enjoying their pre wedding days. Taking a long breath, I said

"Guys, I am really very sorry to involve you both in this thing. It's your, wedding in next four days and you both are struck in this problem-solving thing of mine. I am really sorry." I apologized.

"Ava you are stupid if you think we are struck or something. Okay? We all are friends and it's our duty to help each other. And besides I won't let my best friend fight alone." Grace said and smiling we hugged each other.

"Okay you guys have to go and select the place of your wedding. Tell me what are you going to choose, church, beach, hall or you have something different in your mind?" I asked pulling back from the hug.

"I want our wedding to be in church but Aiden wants it in hall. Let's see what we are going to choose today." Grace answered

"Come on darling. We need to leave." Aiden said and both of them left the room with goodbyes.

Everything around me is making me confuse. I don't understand what should I do next. Should I just go and talk to Liam? Or I should wait till he talks with Aiden first?

Feeling the need for fresh air, I decided to go outside. While walking to the lift, I stopped in my tracks as I heard Ian talking on the phone while standing near the lift facing his back to me.

"Good, don't take your eyes off him. I want you to just follow him where ever he goes and keep me updated." Ian said in stern voice.

What is he up to? I have never heard him this serious, he is always in light mood and cracking jokes around everyone.

But now, it's different. Ian is a business man so maybe this is some work-related stuff but now a days my feelings are making me think twice about everything and anything that is related to Ian.

Someone kept their hand on my shoulder, and I turn quickly. My breathing came to normal as soon as I saw the person was Liam.

"You scared me." I said

"Sorry. Were you listening to Ian talking on his phone?" Liam asked me narrowing his eyes.

"Maybe." I said unsurely.

"Okay." He said and turned around to go but I stopped him by grabbing his hand.

"We need to talk Liam." I said

"About what?" he asked me

"What is going on between you and him?" as soon as I asked him, he face hardened while he answered me.

"None of your concern Ava." He said before yanking his hand from mine and leaving.

I felt… hurt.
