S E R I N E
I found myself regretting what I was thinking because Lord, was I wrong.
Alexander sat right in front of me, like it wouldn't bother me to see the back of his head everyday. Just when I has hoped for the morning to go round about okay, it was already starting off as bad.
Breath.
Just breath.
This was kind of all my fault because I was the one who came early- only because I didn't want to be stuck in traffic. Now I was stuck with the mother buffer while the rest were still making their way to their cars obviously. I check the time- classes were going to begin in 30 minutes.
Ugh.
Never again.
Not unless somebody accompanies me.
"Is my presence bothering you, princess?" I glare at the head in front me before they turn around, revealing an obnoxious smirk that was plastered on their face.
Breath.
And I do so, I tear my gaze away from him and take out my phone. My bag is seated on top of me, as I unlock my phone. "Ignore me as much as you please, but we both know, you'll always come, running back at me,"
"Back the fuck off," I hear a voice and that's when I stand up. The brown eyes are no longer holding anything good- just aggravation with darkness lingering off. I make my way towards him.
"I've done nothing wrong," he chuckles. "but tell the truth,"
"Baby, don't listen him," Angelo doesn't dare lay his eyes on me. "Hey, look at me. Look at me," I repeat once I see he hasn't. "Don't pay attention to him," he doesn't say anything, his jaw clenched. I pull his arm as I force ourselves out of the class.
This was going to be a long day.
***
It was practically our last session before we all had to go home and we were thankful we had Mr Angle last. I gulped down the ice water, that gifted my throat with it's coldness that I needed. I placed the bottle down, my legs crossed as I listen to the random conversation.
"I still get fascinating by science, y'know?" says Caleb who had been more talkative than ever. Connor wasn't at his classes today due to personal issues that we didn't know anything about.
"I think we all do, but some things are just to good for us to even believe," Genesis chimes in. "How so?" Caleb asks. "Do you believe a machine can possibly know the temperature of the Sun's core?"
"No, but-"
"There's your answer. Look, I'm not trying to ruin any person's dream to be a scientist- because you can basically do anything at Raymond but at the end of the day, it's just my opinion," Caleb nods, studying her. We all continue to get lost in our conversations that we have daily as a class, until I hear, "Yah," belonging to the most annoying voice ever. "Ahem, hello??" We all suddenly stop talking when Mr Angle enters, with a blonde trailing behind him. "Students, please settle down," Our voices faded out as we watched him with expectancy.
"Due to amount of student's that Ms Hendrix has in her own homeroom, my class was the only one that still had a spot remaining for one more student,"
Oh, goody. There's more!
"So I would like to introduce Kelly Anderson as your new classmate,"
Nothing surprises me anymore. Nothing.
She plasters a fake smile on her face as her eyes travel to all of us before speaking. "Allow me, to reintroduce myself, I'm Kelly Anderson, the soon to be, Queen," she does a hair flip.
"Oh hell nah, sis,"
"I... didn't hear that?"
"D-did I stutter?" William responding with a fake stutter, looking at her dead in the eye. She glares for a second before it vanishes. "I don't have time for haters,"
"You're one to talk about haters. Ms. Jealously, Jealousy," Nina speaks up.
"Me? Jealous?"
"Is there any other blonde around?" I stare at her blankly. "Puh- less. There's not a part of my body that wants to be jealous of you," she snarls.
"Who said we were talking about me?" I ask even though I knew it was me already. "And who the tell was speaking to you?" My glare averts from Kelly, to Alexander. "I would ask you the same, damn, thing."
The bell rang, on queue and I took this opportunity to smirk. "Fools," I grab my bag and a hand, intertwining our fingers before leaving them behind.
The good feeling didn't sit inside of me as I heard dthe voice from behind me. "Nobody walks away from me,"
"She's literally doing it now, you fool," Levine, who I knew was rolling her eyes even if I didn't see her, says. "You're walking away because you're nothing but a coward," I kept walking, ignoring her.
"Let's see if you have the guts to actually face me. Face to face," We were now, outside the school premises. Meaning anything that was going to happen, was not going to be the schools/ lecturers. fault.
I turn around, my eyes seeing pass her words.
One thing about Kelly is that she'll never stopped until she was satisfied. Wasn't she at least bit tired of the same old thing? "I'm looking at you right in the face, right now, what the hell are you going to about it?" We continue to glare, as if we were competing on who could keep the longest glare with their arch nemesis.
Not knowing how I didn't see it, she raises her hand but before she could do anything, a big hand caught her hand. Confusion skates all over my features when I see it was Alexander's hand. She too seems like she was in disbelief.
Before she could even ask, he whispered something to her and the disbelief vanished, like it was never there to begin with. Without even knowing it, a hard thing makes contact with my neck and my eyes close shut at the pain. My hand makes contact with my neck and I felt something from the much warmer place of my neck. Without hesitating, I lunge at her, beating her down to the ground.
I had, had enough of her. There's arms around me and I spot Amber trying to get me off and before I can use my leg to drop her, a two toned haired girl is already at her.
That's my best friend.
I get off a screaming Kelly, pulling by hair as I kick her.
Man this felt good.
She pushed me, managing to create space between us and before she could lunge at me, I punched her. This time it was satisfying because I hear the sound. She dropped to her knees, blood coming out her nose. I smirk, satisfied. A much shorter figure comes into play and backhands the taste buds out of her, Nina.
"I've always wanted to do that," she smiles and I high five her. Kelly flips her hair over, preparing to stand up but someone had already taken me down. The next I know, is I'm on ground. My wrists were pinned to ground as our eyes locked. His grey eyes, looking deep into my soul. As if he was searching for something, not looking the least bit satisfied, he sees it.
I quickly put my leg over his- giving me a way to balance this move, I learn at my self defense classes. Once we were flipped over, he was now on the ground.
And I did one thing that left him in shock. Shock that he couldn't even hide because it unexpected. I lowered my face slowly, close enough that our lips were almost touching. My ears are welcomed by the police sirens and I ignore them. I place a kiss on his cheek. "You've messed with the wrong girl. I am no longer that girl who who you used to know- I can be crazy if I want to, so don't test me, Alex. I'll destroy you if I must,"
And with that I get off him. A victorious smirk on my face. When I look up, I realize my mistake. Angelo, he was there looking. Not with hurt or anything, it was different. It didn't stop my heart from beating out of my chest. "That's my girl," he smirks, pulling me into a kiss which I gladly accepted. "Don't you get it, Carson?" The grey eyed person speaks.
"She's fooling you." he begins to stir the pot. "She's not protecting me from you. She's protecting you from me," Before I could retort, I hear, "Police,"
Great.
"All of you, put your hands up." I do as the officer says and they begin cuffing us. The next officer comes around cuffing me, I see the familiar officer. "I-"
"Serine, you are under arrest,"
Wow.
"Fucking great," I roll my eyes.
"Anything you do or say will be held against you-" And the officer continues.
I never pictured continuing this day with me in a police van.
