"Markendeya?" "No Mark'AN'deya" he said correcting Mom and even my thoughts. He was polite towards everyone in camp. "Markandeya, it sounds familiar" those were my thoughts. I could have sworn I had seen that name some where. Everything he did, he did with a regal style to it; except eating. When dishes were served he would cry to how delicious our meals were; not that there was anything special to it.
At dawn he came rushing towards my tent. I noticed him coming from afar. Luckily for me I was awake thinking of how to travel the world yet again. "It would be embrassing he see me like this". I was so scattered at that moment but finally pulled it off somehow. "Aria I need your help" "what for, if I may ask?" I replied; sleep still lingering in my eyes."." I have been wondering for a while now and...." "And what ehh! Who in the blood of Maya dares enter my daughter's tent and for the worst part six am in the bloody morning" A silhouette that stood seven feet tall barked in a coarse voice. It was dad. His tent was close to mine. He made it this way because he believed something like this would happen someday, I didn't. Funny enough his guts proved me right. "good morning sir no need to be alarmed I she's actually a friend of mine"....."Friend! how are we even friends I just saw you yesterday and now we're friends!" or so I thought. "What's your name boy!" "Mark sir Markan..." "shut it please! no need for full names here. No one remembers it. if your lucky you live to see the next day. if your not you die and the person you told your 'full name' forgets you." Dad had always had a thing with names never knew why to this very day. Mark never got to say what he wanted to. He was chased out like an unwanted animal.
Dawn had passed only for the heat of the scorching sun to arrive. I'm doing what I do every day, which is nothing only to sight a familiar face, Mark heading towards the high officials chambers. "Who might he be looking for inside there, let's find out!" I was always looking for adventure one way or another and no matter how hard I tried I never actually got one, except today. No one was usually at the office by this time of the day so I asked my thought "what was he searching for?". It was then I saw the other part of him. He looked around like a criminal who was being chased, went towards his right and stopped. I could see something that looked like a 'door' on the floor. He opened it and vanished into the darkness beneath. How terrified I was!. I never knew there was a 'door' leading towards the ground. Out of curiosity, I followed him into the unknown. As light vanished I kept going till I saw light at the other end. When I emerged I saw him standing there backing me."This is what I wanted to show you earlier, Aria. Isn't it beautiful" he said, already noticing my presence."Yes.... it actually is a sight for soar eyes". I saw this really huge structure. He called it a machine. I never knew that kinda specie of Android existed on Earth. It was carrying bodies in pods. The bodies awesomely outnumbered those in the camp two to ten. After a while I heard foot steps above my head. someone was coming. "Quickly Aria we don't have time enter into one of these" he said, pointing at the pods."why!? I can't enter into one off these cocoons" I shouted out of fear. "Listen, no one knows we're here if you don't want to cause trouble for both of us I suggest you enter right now" he said as if in a hurry. Footsteps became so close. I didn't actually know what to do; stay and get caught in a place the public isn't meant to know about or enter the pod with him. And then I decided
"Okay okay but there is only one pod empty we can't one now share can we" He didn't answer "wait Can we?!!" I yelled " look we don't have much time I'll explain everything when you get in okay!?" he said grabbing me by the wrist, pulling me towards himself and fell into the cocoon like pod and closed it. After pressing random buttons at the side of the pod cold steam became noticable inside the pod. I could feel it eat away at my consciousness with every breath I took. I looked to see Mark's face only to find him already asleep. As I was fading I could have sworn I felt water flow in through the sides of the cocoon. I was so scared. It was almost as if I was dying from cold and before I realized it The darkness fell as all light died
