Into the water

After a while, Vincent came back to his private bath, where Prudence still sat in one corner. He had deliberately not lit the candles in here. As a vampire, it was easy for him to see through the dark, but for Prudence, her heartbeat was letting out her fears. Vincent was a little surprised by the fact that the dark scared Prudence, but on taking a closer look, he saw how she had cautiously shifted to snuggle by the wall.

Is she afraid of the water? questioned Vincent. His lips curled up wickedly. This was going to be more fun than he had thought it to be.

He was trying to get around some kind of punishment which Prudence won't find overwhelming right when she wasn't even attempting to come around. At the same time, Vincent wanted her to know that the consequences of messing with him were going to be bad, not just for her family and friends, but also for her.
