In the HPSC headquarters, a secret meeting was taking place.
"The Nomus we captured are the same as the ones form before. Completely inhumane and unresponsive. I doubt we'll get anything from them." The secretary announced.
"What about the warehouse. And the bar?" The branch head asked.
"We're still investigating it, sir.
The warehouse and the bar were under unknown shell companies linked somewherein the middle east. We have no information about their owners or whereabouts. Any data that might have been in them is too damaged to be of use since they were blown away in the fight." The secretary read out.
"Any personal information on this All For One guy?" A branch head asked.
"We're still investigating it, sir." The secretary answered.
"And what of this Dabi fellow? Is he really who he says he is? And what does he know about our secret training camps?"
"We're still inv-"
"If you say you're still investigating one more time, I'll rip your head off!" The supervisor groaned, rubbing his temple in worry.
"Even if we were able to capture the Nomus, Shigaraki and his league got away." An advisor commented.
"Yeah. Even if we were to grade ourselves really easy on this, we still got away with a draw due to injury." A younger Superintendent added.
"Idiots!" The branch head interjected.
"We traded in the symbol of peace. All Might's weakness has been exposed to the world and there is no longer a symbol of peace that will never be defeated. Not for the citizens or for the villains!"
The administrative head rubbed his hands together and replied, leaning back.
"That's what happens when you rely on just one person!"
"Everyone has realized how far you can get just by gathering a bunch of idiots. That scares me." The branch head continued.
"From our initial profiling, Shigaraki was a manchild who'd throw tantrums when something didn't go his way, but this, ...this Kamino incident, with the hostages? That was far too clever to be the same guy.
That means the manchild is growing up at a frightening pace. The more plans he comes up with, the more circuitous they become. Like he's poking society to see what makes it tick. With every failure, the league grows stronger, expands it's influence and weakens ours."
"But we still have him. Haru Shikimori. He can be the new symbol of peace. The public already considers him one.
Not only is he more skilled than All Might but also more intelligent. Surely he's the solution to our problem!" The young Superintendent suggested.
"The boy who wants to destroy hero society? How is he any better than Shigaraki?" The admin head shouted.
"For one, he's on our side." The Superintendent shot back.
"Calm down you two. This isn't a matter of whether Haru Shikimori can do it or even if he wants to do it. This is whether we have the time for him to grow up into one.
He's too young, barely a first year. Even if he gets his license this year, it won't matter if we can't capture the league.
No, we must capture them! We have no time to be sitting around, acting like the villain reception squad." The branch head said.
"Something must change!"
Meanwhile in the Shikimori household another debate waged on.
"No." Mama Shikimori said, setting her foot down.
"Yeah. Haru stays here." Himiko added.
"Come on, Himiko-chan, momma, I have to do this!" I pleaded, looking at my father, who just shrugged.
"Ma'am, we're really sorry for what happened to you and what your family has had to go through. But this is important. Really so.
And we promise we'll take care of our students to the best of our abilities."
Aizawa-sensei requested.
"I've seen your best, and frankly, with the amount of times my dear, little Haru has landed in the hospital just this year, I'm inclined to decline." Mama Shikimori replied.
"Yeah!" Himiko added, puffing up like a hamster.
"I..I can't say anything about that. All I can say is that I've failed as a teacher and I hope that you'll give us another chance. Please, for the future of the world." Aizawa-sensei said, hesitating and steeling himself before he continued.
"Haru ... is the single most talented student we've had in the history of UA. He is already regarded as the next symbol of peace. We, no, the world cannot afford to lose him right now. If not for us then for the future of your grandchildren, please.." ,
Aizawa-sensei got onto the floor and sat in a dogeza, adding, "please, give us the opportunity to raise him into a fine hero!"
Mama Shikimori thought for a moment, looking at Eri and Haruto, more Eri than Haruto, but who's counting.
Then she replied.
"If you insist that much... then yes. But he must visit us every weekend. And you have to keep an eye on him."
"Yeah. Make sure he doesn't get too adventurous, in all respects!" Himiko added.
Aizawa-sensei raised an eyebrow, looking first at Himiko, then at me, and nodded to her. A bit too enthusiastically.
Dangit!
Himiko's really acting like the old ball and chain already!
I shudder to think what'd happen after we marry!?
Will I even be allowed to talk to other women in professional settings!?
And why are you agreeing with her Aizawa-sensei?
