He Was Like a Magnet to Her

Mel has to go upstairs to meet Grandma in her office. Grandma has texted her many times, making sure she didn't forget her promise.

While all her friends continue to the cinema to watch a movie, she got into the elevator then press the 10th floor. While she looked at her cell phone, seconds later, she heard a charming male voice shouting, "Please hold!"

Automatically she pressed the 'open' button and lifted her head. She blinked twice to see the familiar tall man standing in front of her. She's suddenly frozen, or at least that how she feels.

Her mind instantly remembered the man who has stolen her attention at the new year's party. Too bad now he is wearing a Rayban so she can't see him clearly. But still, she knows him right away, he is the man in black suit!

Mel couldn't believe, now they were standing in this tiny elevator, that she could smell his fresh masculine scent. Suddenly her cheeks felt so hot. She could see through the mirror her cheeks slowly turning pink.

"Damn Mel!" she cursed herself.

She exhales silently to calming down her beating heart.

Meanwhile, Andrew saw the girl who stood in silence while staring at him. He dumbfounded. He doesn't expect to meet this pgirl here. His heart is immediately faster by a beat when he sees her grey eyes. He unwittingly saying "Thank you, Miss..." with his charming tone.

Mel could only nod.

She secretly glanced over to see the man; he looks like talking to someone on the phone. She keeps glancing, and the man looks very handsome in his casual clothes. Now, he is wearing all black again; Mel's adored him even more now. She is somehow always attracted when a man is wearing an all-black outfit.

Afraid of being caught stolen glances at him, she diverted her gaze down at the floor. She saw the man is wearing brown leather shoes that fit his black clothes. Make his appearance is even more amazing to her. She praised him in silence while her heart is beating faster.

"Damn! This elevator going up?" Andrew murmur.

Mel heard the man cursing, lightly she lifts her head and saw him looking at his watch. It seems as he was in a hurry.

"Yes, this elevator goes up." Finally, she is brave enough to say something to him, even when it's something trivial. "Wrong floor?"

He nods.

In silence and voiceless, he's cursing himself. After many troubles he's going through to find the girl, he's finally meeting the girl unplanned and ill-prepared; also, he didn't have time to talk to her other than greet her. He must return to the office as soon as possible. There's an important meeting that he regretfully cannot just delay or absent.

This girl managed to steal his attention; for some reason, after seeing her at the new year's party, he always thought about her. He's tried to investigate her identity, but he found nothing.

He has found her home address, but he couldn't find what floor her house is on. He's tried to hack the CCTV in the building, but he somehow fails to see any of her traces in the CCTV footage. It's like she never enters the apartment building at all. It makes him even more interested in her.

Today I have to know her name! He feels more determination is coming to his mind.

He glances at her from behind his dark glasses and sees the girl smile sweetly, showing off her pearly white, neat teeth.

Her sweet smile has made Andrew unwittingly stands still in pure silence as he gasps and praises her in his mind, "How could you be so gorgeously charming and yet mysterious, pretty lady?!"

The elevator is arriving on the 10th floor, and She hastily gets out of the elevator without saying a word.

Andrew just came back from his thoughts when the elevator doors closed. And it starts moving down.

"Damn it! I didn't get her name." he immediately opened the application on his cellphone.

Not long after, the elevator stopped on the ground floor. Andrew gets out of the elevator, and he walks quickly to the car waiting for him in front of the main door.

"Young Master..." his assistant Raymond greeted him respectfully. He opened the car door for him.

Andrew got into the car in the back seat. He types something on his cell phone "Raymond, I just sent a clear photo to you. Immediately investigate her, find out her details and background."

"Okay, Young Master." Raymond, who was sitting in front, beside the driver, turned to see him. He then asks, "Is this woman...the woman in black you've been looking for?"

His eyes stared coldly at Raymond. "Yes. Find out her name. Use any necessary means to know her name and other details!"

"Yes, young master Andrew."

Andrew turned his gaze out of the car. His thoughts are back to the girl he had just seen.

It's now been a week since he saw the girl who stole his attention. He already knew her Apartment but nothing else, not even her name or her phone number. He feels frustrated.

Only now did he feel frustrated facing someone. Usually, whatever he wants, he gets. But this girl was a complete mystery to him. No matter how much the resources he utilizes to find her, he's still no idea who she was. He sighed in silence!

Is she someone important? An undercover agent? Person of Interest?

Someone whose identities are secrets and heavily guarded by the government?

It looks like I'll have to ask the second brother to find out her identity.

Andrew lost in thought. He closed his eyes, trying to keep her beautiful smile in his mind.

While in Grandma's Recipe on the 10th floor.

Mel stood in front of the elevator, motionless. Her mind is still trying to comprehend what she has just experienced in the elevator.

She didn't expect to see him here, in the building.

I'm sure he's some sort of god. I have never seen a man as handsome and as perfect as that man in my entire life. It's the first time I feel something like this! So far, he's the only man who made me feel like this. Who is he? I have to find out who he is.

Mel made a note to herself in her mind; when she got home, she will find out who he is and, if necessary, hack her way to find out the handsome man's identity.

Some staff is walking towards the elevator, greeting her.

She comes back out of her mind and back to reality. She realizes now she stood still in front of the elevator. She could only smile at them and returned their greeting. She also asked where Grandma's office is. It's the first time she visited his Grandma's office.

One of the senior staff who already knew her took her to Grandma's room.

She knocked on Grandma's office door.

"Enter!" Grandma shouts with a warm voice, and it was coming from inside the room.

Mel immediately entered, and she saw Grandma sitting at her desk working on something. Her heart feels warmth. Just now, it struck her how much she misses her Grandma.
