Collaboration With W Group

Mel delighted to hear someone greet her as she walked into her Apartment. Even though Max is only an AI, she is still happy. It's like having a family member living with her.

"Max, turn on the computer. We're going to stay up late Tonight. We have a special task to do."

Mel walked to the bathroom in the main bedroom to take a shower. Not long after, she left the room wearing her casual clothes, oversize hoodie, and leggings.

When she entered the computer room, all the computers in the room were already on. She sat in the command chair and looked at the computer screen.

She checks the email sent by Hiro; a moment later, she was shocked by something she read. She then calls Hiro hastily.

"Hello boss...why you call me?" She heard Hiro's voice from the other end.

"Hiro, can we postpone the meeting with the W Group?" She is not ready to meet the client in person. What's more, this is a meeting with the number one company in the country. They will want to meet a CEO-level person. Meanwhile, her position in MT Group is only Head of IT department.

"We can't, boss. I have already confirmed with them just this evening."

"Why is this meeting so sudden?" she frowned.

"Boss...It's not sudden. We have been planning the meeting since last month." He replied seriously.

"Hmm... I understand."

"Boss, this project is critical to us. We must get the cooperation with the W group. You know this is a mega project, right? This project will be our biggest project if we can secure it."

She agrees with what Hiro said.

She is not afraid of presentation because the material she will explain is related to present and future technology, which is her play-thing. And she is very skilled in this field. "Hiro, I'm afraid they will refuse to meet because the one who will deliver the presentation is not you, the CEO of MT Group, but me."

"Boss... you don't have to worry about that problem," Hiro said casually.

Mel frowned her forehead. She was confused by Hiro's answer.

A few seconds later, Hiro continues his sentence, "I've talked to the assistant CEO of W Group, he said it doesn't matter. They need to meet someone from our company who can present this project, and you are the best person to do it."

"Why don't you send Kev...." After hearing Hiro said the CEO of W Group name, Mel has taken aback, "Wait... so on Monday, I will meet Andrew William?" Finally, she could see the mysterious figure that many of the top socialites in this country wanted to see.

"Yeah, he'd probably the one attending the meeting. But I'm not sure. Because, so far, I've only talked to his assistant, Mr. Raymond."

Mel nods and says, "Okay, understand. When are you boarding your plane home?"

"Soon. So, are you ready for the Monday meeting? If you're not, I'll cancel my flight Tonight. I can postpone it to Monday night after the meeting."

"No need. I can handle it. You don't have to think about work. Just go and please send my regards to your mom."

"Are you sure?"

"YES! BYE...!" She said it in determination. Then turn off her phone.

She continued reading some of the items on the list. She didn't find any challenging tasks at all; They all are the things she can handle easily. Deep down in her heart, she hopes that MT Group can get this megaproject because collaboration with W Group would make MT Group even more recognized by many people in the business world of country X.

A few moments later, her cell phone vibrated. There is a new message coming in.

She immediately checked and saw a new message from Black.

[Black] Are you ready?

[Q] Yes.

Mel looked at the IP address Black had given her. Mel's browse lifted after she traced the IP.

"Ink Tech? Isn't this a First Corp subsidiary?" Mel spoke to herself. 'Why Black take orders from First Corp?" She tapped her fingers on the table.

After a while, she finally decided to begin. "I don't care. What's important is the reward for this job is huge." She chuckled.

"Max, are you ready?" She makes sure Max ready for Tonight's assignment.

"Yes, Boss."

"Good. Now let's roll. Do you see the IP address on my screen? Attack! Don't forget, be careful not to leave any traces. Don't get caught. Because the owner of the IP is quite strong." She reminds Max.

Instantly, computers in the room started working on their own; they operated by Max the AI.

Mel stared at the main screen in front of her with sharp eyes. Her finger ready on the special keyboard in front of her.

"Excellent, Max. You are getting better. You can break through the first layer in no time." Mel smiles, seeing Max's progress. Now he's getting stronger. Undoubtedly because of the self-teaching program that she has made only for Max.

Ten minutes have passed. Max went through the second layer without any problems. "Good job Max." Mel continued to praise it. She is still staring at the computer screen, keeping alert if Max makes any mistake or leaves any traces. She closely supervised Max and ready to take over when things go awry.

Everything went according to her expectations. Max smoothly and successfully breaking into the Ink Tech layer by layer. But, 35 minutes later, on the 4th layer, Max suddenly speaks, "Boss, I got stuck, and an unknown security program is trying to trap me."

"DAMN IT!!" Mel's fingers typed rapidly on the keyboard, her eyes staring at the computer screen.

"Max retreat, NOW! Exit and don't get caught. Do not leave any trace. I'm assisting you by making you invisible to the system and erasing your trace," She shouted.

Her fingers are still dancing fast over the keyboard, making codes that will obscure Max from any Detect and Catch programs in the Ink Tech defense layer and erase any trace Max has left behind. She did this with her face expressionlessly, and her eyes are coldly staring at the monitor screen.
