She Wants More

"There's more," Brayden had told Meredith. What more could there be. It wasn't a special occasion. It was just Saturday. Meredith waited with bated breath. She had forgiven Brayden as soon as he told her what had happened.

Meredith knew Brayden wasn't lying to her when he said he thought Helena was her. Meredith couldn't hold that against him because he was more than likely going to be harder on himself about it than she would. Mostly he would be hard on himself because he never slips up, she thought.

Just because she had forgiven him didn't mean it didn't hurt that he had slept with another woman in their bed and didn't recognize it wasn't her. Brayden didn't need to do all this to apologize for that.

They weren't in a real relationship. Whether he apologized or not she was stuck with him due to the Death Contract. At least now that he loved her, losing her freedom wouldn't be as bad, right?  Meredith stared into his dark emerald eyes.
