Chapter 2:The Hero’s Journey begins:Treachery.

My name is Jaelion Froy and this is my story.When I was born I was weak and so my father trained me but after I kept messing it up he gave up on me and left home from me and my mom when I was just 6 years old.When my dad who was a formidable knight with a good amount of income that could support his whole family left home,me and my mother lived on the income of her restaurant ṎᏔ.My mom told me she would tell me what it stood for when I was old enough but sadly that didn't happen because she died when I was just 12 years old.She left all her inheritance including her restaurant to me but the document said that I could reopen the restaurant only when I was either 24 years old or an S-rank adventurer/Knight.Now years later as I am now 17 with me a D-rank adventurer,I have found a squad which consists of me,a girl the same age as me who has Plant magic with strawberry blonde hair and cerulean eyes,our leader who is a guy with brown shoulder length hair and black eyes who is in his early twenties with Fire magic and the last one another guy who is either in his early 30s or late 20s with magma magic and a patched beard,short black hair and light green eyes.Their leader whose name was Altrus then made them join a quest to explore a dungeon that no one has conquered with 100 floors and the lowest that has ever been reached having been Floor 42.

As they entered the dungeon they fought and defeated all of the monsters on the first floor and kept fighting even more and more monsters as they descended."Flame thrower",Altrus shouted as he killed a group of 10 orc monsters."Venus trap",the only girl in the party whose name was Lilian shouted as multiple Venus traps surrounded her and attracted some white wolf monsters with their intoxicating scent eating them all when they got close enough then she made vines that restrained 4 orc monsters and 5 dog-like monsters and she threw them to their third party member who was by far the eldest named Zakon as he shouted"Magma slash"and sliced them all up leaving them with headless bodies dead.

Eventually the party reached floor 78 and Altrus said"This is great,this is the farthest anybody has ever reached"."We are really awesome I can't believe that we reached Floor 78",said Lilian."Hmmm,what is that",Zakon asked questioningly as he pointed to a crystal."Who knows maybe we should check it out",said Altrus.Jaelion panickedly then said"Wait,that could be dangerous".Altrus then angeredly said"Hey I am the leader of this party and you are the weakest member of this party and probably of all the other adventurers too"."The only reason we even accepted you was because Lilian convinced us to saying we should give you a chance and we also felt pity",he continued inconsiderately.He then walked over to the crystal and the others followed him and when he touched it with his hand it teleported all of them elsewhere and when they looked around and checked their Location item,they saw that they were on the 99th Floor."Woohoo,woohoo we are going to be legends",said Zakon as he jumped around screaming excitedly.

Suddenly a horde of monsters appeared and they fired and launched their attacks at them but they didn't even make a scratch.Zakon then took out a crystal ball of his own and the captain nodded then by sacrificing Jaelion putting him on the 100th floor,they were able to transport back to the first floor and Altrus and Zakon celebrated that it worked while Lilian looked guilty and regretful."Cheer up Lilian atleast we will survive right and i'm sure he'd want that",Altrus said with a confident and shameless smile on his face.They then walked out of the dungeon leaving Jaelion all alone.

Jaelion fought against and evaded the monsters for days.He realised that they could track him by his scent so he killed a big birdmonster and smeered it's blood on himself making the other monsters think that he was a monster too and fear him because many monsters were afraid of it.It was a big large majestic white eagle with might power and very sharp talons.He had barely killed it by setting a deadly trap for it.He survived his days with no monsters attacking him thanks to his new scent but then as he was travelling the dungeon looking for food and water he reached a part where none of the monsters were afraid of the eagle.They chased him and chased him as he ran and ran for his life but as he ran they would slightly catch up and strike him.He was still running all around but now with large deep cut marks on his arms and back,broken ribs,large deep bite marks in his stomach,a broken leg and a basically beaten up body including his face.He was still running but then he stopped and started crawling somewhere now on the brink of death as all the monsters had now surrounded him leaving no escape.As he was losing conciousness about to pass on he crawled into a circle and as all the monsters were trying to get through they couldn't as if there was an invisible wall blocking them.The circle then started to glow a white light and all his wounds were completely gone and he had full conciousness.

A golden light shown out of the circle now as a man with long brown hair,a beard and white robes with brown sandals then appeared and he said"Hello Adventurer I am Alyon Creinrad and i was a powerful adventurer before my passing".He then continued"I created this dungeon in my last days so that whoever could conquer it could get a prize which is my power"."You are worthy for you have reached the 100th Floor i don't care whether you use this power for good or evil just as long as you accept to take it chosen one",he said.

"Thank you sir Alyon but i won't use this power for good or evil i will just use it for myself and all those dear to me and in my deeds i will make you proud as my predecessor and so I ACCEPT",Said Jaelion."Yes young one you are quite fascinating i am glad to see that the youth of today are not as naive and am glad that you chose to succeed me",Said Alyon."And now as promised THE POWER OF I,THE BLUE GEM ADVENTURER ALYON CREINRAD".As soon as Alyon had said that Jaelion could feel a change in him and his body got from slim and slightly ripped to buff and breathtaking as he felt a rise in all of his abilities and gained new ones of which he all understood because Alyon not only transferred his power to Jaelion but also his knowledge which included how to use his abilities.

"Goodbye young adventurer and may you have my blessings on your adventure because your journey begins now",Alyon said delightfully with a smile on his face as he then disappeared with another golden flash.As Jaelion cried with his head down for the man who had saved his life and given him a chance to become powerful,the invisible barrier around the circle disappeared as the monsters were let loose and were now rushing to end Jaelion's life as he without looking up said"Devil's whisper" as all the monsters attacking him stopped as a shining purple mist touched them and they all disappeared.

A large black door that had been hidden and disguised to look like a wall part of the dungeon then opened up as Jaelion slowly stood up and with a small smile on his face walked out of that door into freedom where he found himself in a forest.He walked forward into the forest until he reached a large clearing.He tried to use his magical ability Danger Sense then unexpectedly unlike the small range it had before now he was able to see everything going on on the whole planet and was quite shocked.He turned around and punched which made trees in that whole area break and fly in the air landing sideways making a large straight clearing.He then realised that every aspect of him had increased and got to the conclusion that he is now definitely S-Class.So he checked how much space he has in the Storage spell that every S-Class Adventurer has and saw that it was infinity.In that storage he also found some other presents from Alyon which were a lot of treasure,clothes,food and tools too which included day-to-day tools like hammers,nails and needles plus even other tools like magic items.There were also many weapons like a bow and arrow,spear e.t.c.He was quite surprised and was eternally grateful to Sir Alyon.

He then walked forward to go to the nearest village of Beastmen of which he had seen when he used danger sense to go and make acquaintances with the residents to hope and maybe form an alliance with them.After walking for some minutes he finally saw the gateway of the Beastman Village and continued to walk forward then the gate guards asked his name and he said"Jaelion Froy" and after they registered him and he was allowed to enter.As he walked around the village he saw many and many beastmen male and female but no humans around.He then started to get weird looks from the beastman residents but he ignored them and walked trying to find a golden center which is a place where money is exchanged.When he kept walking and still couldn't find it he touched one of the commoner's shoulders who was surprisingly the first human he had seen in the village and asked him"Um excuse me sir but do you know where i can find a golden center?"."Yes go straight ahead and you'll see it at the end of the road",the blonde haired elderly man said.Jaelion then bowed to him in respect and gratitude then kept walking forward till at the end of the road he saw some people and about 20 stalls with beastmen exchanging money with customers inside.

He walked to one of the stalls where there was a gray furred beastman with blue eyes and was greeted by the beastman"Hello young lad how much do you have on you?",the beastman questioned pettily."How much can i get for this?",he said as he put a gigantic gold coin on the table as the beastman who previously had a carefree look on his face was now having a shocked expression on his face with it looking as if his eyes would fall out.

"What sir are you a noble",the shocked beastman asked."Hahahaha no Mister i am not",Jaelion answered with a hearty laugh.The beastman looked unconvinced but still continued his work and got all the money he had in his stall plus all the other stalls that were now free and put it in sacks on the stall's table"Okay so sir right now we don't have all the exchange so you will have to wait for it to come",the beastman said."No need this is enough for me you can keep the rest",he replied taking the sacks and throwing them in the portal he made to his storage and leaving the gigantic gold coin behind on the table.

The currencies are small copper which is usually found with peasants,small silver with commoners and small gold for some of the richer commoners.Big copper for the even richer of the commoners,big silver for the richest commoners and big gold for the nobles.The Gigantic Copper,Gigantic Silver and Gigantic Gold is for only the nobles though even among them the Gigantic Gold isn't very common.This is also the order of their values.

As Jaelion walked around the village trying to find a tavern but he was hungry so he entered a pub with the entrance saying"The Lusty Puppies" and was met by a female elf wearing an armless white robe at below shoulder length with golden buttons that had strawberry blonde hair and green innocent eyes with a ginormous bust."Hello hottie welcome to the lusty puppies woof",she said with a blush on her face."Well thank you it's my pleasure to meet such a stunning lady,may i have your name?",Jaelion said smoothly and flirtatiously."I am Angela Strolia",she said confidently but still with the blush still showing."What a lovely name for a lovely maiden",Jaelion said."My name is Jaelion Froy",he said humbly."Okay Mr.Froy right this way",Angela said as she started walking forward but Jaelion held her hand back and when she turned around said"Please Maiden Angela call me Jaelion",he said charmingly."Only if you call me Angela or Angel",she said calmly.After that she guided him to one of the tables and asked him"So what do you want Jaelion",she asked starting to sound sassy."I'd like an ale Angela",he said as she went to take his order.

As he looked around he saw many more female beastmen serving male beastmen at tables all of which were wearing revealing clothes.Jaelion realised then and there that this restaurant was part of the red light district as he saw a hallway with rooms which is where the female beastmen in this restaurant entertain their guests though he knew that they were usually different beastmen than the waitresses but some of the waitresses were part of it.

Angela then came back with his ale and he drank it then finished it and called for another then another until everyone had started to crowd him and cheer as he had just taken 10 full glasses of ale while staying sober."Hmm Angela do you have any stronger beer",he asked her with an unimpressed look on his face."Yes Jaelion let me bring you the strongest beer i can find",she said as she rushed into the kitchen and opened a big bottle of a drink called Red Devil's ale and put a full glass of it and took it to him.

Jaelion drank the whole glass and still looked sober then he sighed"Damn it so i've got alcoholic resistance as a skill",he said annoyed.The crowd shocked then left back to their table and continued what they were doing."So Angela how long have you been working here?",Jaelion asked curiously."Today is my first day",she said abit embarassed."Okay that works out",he said as he stood up and walked to the pub's owner who was a chubby elf in her 40s with brown fluffy hair and onyx black eyes wearing a green robe that covered her whole body except her arms."Hello miss does your pub have the Raowon rule policy",Jaelion asked the owner."Yes it does young boy but why do you ask?",she asked curiously.

Jaelion then created a wide rectangular portal which was transparent and so everybody in the pub could see all the treasure in it and pulled out 6 gigantic gold coins not that it made a difference as it looked like he had hundreds of them and put them on the table closing the portal afterward."I would like to buy Angela Strolia as my maiden",he said as everybody in the pub was in shock and the pub owner took the coins and asked Jaelion"What is your name," and he said"Jaelion Froy" then she announced"From today on Angela Strolia is the maiden of Jaelion Froy",she said as everybody in the pub was still in shock.

He then walked to her as she was blushing and whispered in her ear"The next time you see me,be ready",he said pleasantly as he was pleased with her blush then he payed the fee for his drinks and left the pub.He walked in town and eventually found a tavern named "The Blue jelly" where he spent the night as he planned to go find his home the next day.
