Lily Malum's brain began to race...it began to work overtime. She was trying to figure out her next move... her next statement to the king.

How had he found out? How did he know that she was talking with KingThress? It was beyond her. She had been careful and she thought that no one... absolutely no one was unto her. Now, it had to be the king? It had to be King Yianni.

Why hadn't she thought about this? She hated being blindsided. Lily Malum had not even suspected that he had called her for that reason. He had called her to warn her to leave his darling princess alone. Why was Yianni defending this princess? Why was Yianni protecting her? What had she done for him?
