Memorial Service - 2

Sir Taff could not imagine why the king had called him back. What made it worse was that King Thress had called only him back. Taff knew that was not a good sign. As long as it had to do with Thress, then it was not a good thing to have him call one back for a private talk. The look on his face did not help matters as well. Sir Taff wh had prided himself with his elegance and poise felt rattled and he knew that it showed on his face and his whole body. There were beads of sweat on his forehead as he approached the disturbed king.

"I saw your countenance when I had announced that there should be a memorial service for my later brother and his family," King Thress began. "Now, tell me why you had that look on your face."

"I am sorry to ask, Your Majesty, but what look are you referring to?" Sir Taff asked after he had swallowed and made his mouth a bit wet -- his mouth had gotten dry all of a sudden after the king had ordered him to return for a word.
