"With all due respect, My Princess," Veni began, "Why do you want to-"
"The bodies have been burned and buried. In fact, if they were still available for you to see, I would not have suggested that. It was such a gruesome sight, Princess Ruby. Nothing for a royal to see," Commander Mabon stated.
"I can see anything, Commander. Do not think me to be that fragile," Ruby said.
The commander knew that she was speaking the truth. He had heard tales about her and what had happened when she had fled from her kingdom. And all these years, she had managed to stay alive and out of the reach of that man that had taken her kingdom away from her father.
He knew that no fragile princess could have pulled that off. So, for that, the princess had his respect.
