Verdict

The public announcement that was to be held at the royal court was scheduled for two nights to come. King Sek had refused to see his mother till the eve of the day he would declare his verdict.

And now, the eve had come and he walked down the hallway with a straight face but a bad ache in his heart. His mother had hurt him and there was nothing he could do now to save her face. The whole palace was aware of her evil doings.

Sek could not believe that his mother didn't have a single regard for human lives. The thought was beyond him. He had tried several times to imagine what must have been going on in his mother's mind before she succumbed to such desires. She had even gone to the extent of killing Seth's mother even after she had obeyed the banishment and had stayed away from the Red Kingdom and even her son.

His brows furrowed as he thought. He was angry — that much was clear.
