Ruby's heart went out to Mabli as she could feel the pain that emitted from her. It was like she had been waiting to strike at Thress – to get back at him for all that he had done to her. However, Ruby still couldn't shake off the feeling of wanting to know how far Mabli's hatred for Thress had gone and what it had made her do. Ruby bookmarked that in her mind for later.

"Down with the rope," Seth said.  As the soldiers waiting at the top of the tear that Seth had made to invade the bunker let down the rope, the demon prince walked up to his princess. He glanced at Mabli and signaled to the rope with a wriggle of his brow. She got the message and Seth was thankful for that. He didn't want to have to spell it out to the lady. She hadn't won his trust just yet -- anyway -- no one really had Seth's trust except Ruby of course.
