I Have To Speak Up

Vasso opened his eyes and stretched. He sneezed and stretched all the more. The sleep had been deep and he had to admit, refreshing. He was glad that he had told the physician to give him something to sleep. Now, he could think and have the meeting he needed to have with his generals.

"Your Majesty..."

He raised his fat head and looked over his stomach. He almost couldn't see a mountain of flesh blocking his sight so that made him roll over to his side to see who called him.

"Sabian... What are you doing here?"

"I've been waiting for you, Sire... The generals want to speak with you... The Red Army is close to our borders at this point. They want to run the plans on the ground by you."

"Help me up..." Vasso said.

His servant rushed to his side upon hearing the king's voice but Sabian had already had the king into a sitting position.
