Heartfelt Plea

Meanwhile, in the Predor Kingdom,  Bedo walked into Yianni's room and opened the door for the maids to enter. They came carrying trays of food and fruits. Other servants came with some silver jugs carrying the wine the king liked to drink. They walked straight to the marble table that carried his wine and exchanged the old ones for the new ones.

"Set the food there," Bedo said in a low tone to the maids. He glanced at the bed area which was covered with a golden sheer curtain. He could see the silhouette of the king on the bed and wondered if Yianni had gotten up at throughout the day.

"Hurry with the cleaning," Bedo said, gesturing with his hands for them to be swift with cleaning out the room. The chamber pot needed to be cleaned out and clothes needed to be picked up from the ground and washed.

Only Bedo was allowed into Yianni's room and he was the only one who could order the maids to carry out their duties to the king.
