Lesson Learned

The whole crowd gasped and the sound echoed all over the area. Some of the people there knew the man was dead already even as he still stood speaking to the prince.

"He would have just fallen on the ground and begged..." one of the servants who wrapped himself with his arms said, honestly scared for the soldier and what the prince could do to him.

"I'm sure he thought he could fight all the soldiers..."

"Did you hear what the prince said?" another lady asked. "He is the one the soldier will fight."

"I did t remember asking you though," the man who had spoken earlier retorted to the lady.

"You said something that was off-point and not on track, so I thought to keep you up to date" she replied. "But you can wallow in your ignorance moving forward."

Everyone was on edge in the bailey.

The Soldier with the sword in hand faced Seth and gaped as if he was transfixed by something invisible -- as if his soul had travelled out of his body.
