Let It Begin

Ruby smirked while she watched what the guard did to Gudea. He needed to learn his place. The fact that Seth gave them what they asked for didn't mean that they had earned their spot in the Ziviel Kingdom. She could not bring herself to forget what they tried to do to her during the war period.

"Please, allow me to get to my feet," Gudea said after waiting for some seconds and noticing that the guard didn't want to back up for him to rise. He felt abashed and angry all at the same time. And at that moment, Gudea was determined to follow through with the plan they had formed a year ago. He would put a start to the process once he left the god-forsaken palace.

Ruby rose to her feet and immediately, some guards positioned themselves around her. She walked down the steps gracefully with her hands hanging in a poised and elegant manner in front of her. The reverence they had for their queen was painfully obvious to Gudea and it made him hate her all the more.
